The cultists aren't rational actors, so I guess Dump hopes they will think he's doing a thing that will fuel prices go down and reward him for it with votes.

You know, this greatest (s) hits tour is getting very repetitive, I mean, the Grateful Dead could at least vamp to keep the Deadheads interested. I doubt even the cultiest cultists follow this lying, festering, bloviating piece of ◊◊◊◊ from rally to rally.

Maybe some resident cultists might chime in.
