Anyway, after the Marshalls and Gilberts operation, did Admiral Halsey have any big ideas that weren't bad ideas?

I'm mostly talking about abandoning his post to chase the IJN carriers at Leyte, or the decision to refuel in the middle of a typhoon because timetable.

The difference between Task Force 38 and Task Force 58, in the big things, is almost comical.
