If you walked down to the beach, it was overlooking the pacific ocean ... but the ocean was gone ... just sand and flapping fish as far as the eye could see .... you'd want some bouy data before you concluded the water was gone?

The Cloudflare graph is fairly indisputible evidence the datacentres were disrupted. It's indisputable they were damaged by Ukrainian attacks. It's no secret there's massive networks of russian bots and trolls ... why such a struggle to accept that major Russian data centres being blown up would have an effect not just on AI scraping, but on AI troll farms **running in the same bloody data centres**

I really don't get your objections here. Stab someone in the heart and then go ... well ... need to get an MRI ... his problems might be just placebo Good grief.

1. Data centers blown up - Evidence
2. AI networks disrupted - Evidence
3. Massive global reports of decreased "bot" activity on social networks - Evidence

Look at it this way: Ukraine probably wants to back-foot the Russian economy on their own timetable, rather than waiting to see if the Russians will do it themselves.

It's not like the Ukrainians are stupid. It's not like they don't understand the value of a run on Russian banks. It's not like they chose to target Yandex datacenters right now because they're too lazy or unimaginative to think of anything better to do with their missiles.

Wishes in one hand, missiles in the other, see which hand carries more weight on the battlefield.

Fair question. From the top of my head, traffic data from channels/sites/groups known to be strongly far-right, like r/conservative on Reddit? Other than that, I guess someone would have to have a list of putin fanboys/Drumpf worshipers and see how their activity level changed. Or count comments with certain views in various comment threads, like those of large newspaper sites?

Having said all that, though, I believe the claim that the number of trolls has plummeted, if only temporarily. Not hard to believe at all when we know how many of them are bots.

Trump: There's an energy ceasefire, both Russia and Ukraine have agreed to it.
Zelenskyy: We know nothing about this, but we agree
Putin: We know nothing about this, we're not doing it. Attacks energy infrastructure.
Trump: The ceasefire was just for oil refineries!
Zelenskyy: We don't have any oil refineries?!!?! Russia already blew them up years ago!
Trump: Putin is read for a deal, we just need to convince Zelenskyy!!
Putin: attacks apartment buildings and playgrounds

There was a 6 missile attack on Kyiv tonight. No alert. Authorities have confirmed they didn't detect them. They're also denying the US has withheld the intelligence that helps detect them, which they threatened to do earlier in the day - but it damn well looks like that's exactly what has happened. There are alternatives (though not as good), but psychopath Trump as done it without any time to switch.

No, I'm with Icerat here. Another analogy, if artillery guns are lobbing shells at a position and Ukraine blows them up, I don't need much convincing to believe that a lull in incoming shells might just have something to do with the gun line being decimated.

Russia itself has explicitly denied there was ever an energy ceasefire. It is purely a Trump hallucination.

What theprestige said. Plus hitting these data centres and the Wildberry warehouses reduces the velocity of money through Russia which reduces economic activity which weakens their ability to wage war.

Both of which has occurred to some extent. Problem is to do this "properly" you need to have preoutage data as well to compare, then have to account for day (weekends for example), time zones etc etc. So it's quite a bit of work that someone would have to spend time and money to do.
