It's not a war. Ask Trump and his minions. The B1 bombers deployed to Fairford for the war. They weren't stationed there beforehand, one would not expect them to remain there indefinitely.

Sorry, is your point that the war with Iran is over and the B1s are no longer needed? The B1 bombers deployed to Fairford for the war. They weren't stationed there beforehand, one would not expect them to remain there indefinitely.
Why do you have an "and" in there? These are two different questions. The latter doesn't depend on the former.Sorry, is your point that the war with Iran is over and the B1s are no longer needed?
There has been no official statement of why the bombers left Fairford, or even exactly when they left. The timing of the announcement that they left has led people to speculate as to the reason, but it it is only speculation at this point. We don't even have confirmation that the withdrawl started after this incident.

Evidently a well-planned, orderly withdrawal. The planes reportedly took off while aerial refueling aircraft were still being scrambled to support their flights to the US.

but what do YOU think? Why do you have an "and" in there? These are two different questions. The latter doesn't depend on the former.
I don't know if keeping the B1s at Fairford would still be useful. Neither do you. I also don't know when or why the decision was made to remove them. Neither do you.
I really don't know. It's possible that this move was prompted by security concerns from this incident. It's also possible that this withdrawal was planned beforehand. It's also possible that that the withdrawal was planned beforehand but accelerated because of this incident. But it's all just speculation, and none of it is really informed speculation either.but what do YOU think?
Never.Have all these right wing eejits actually listened to themselves?
It's the narrative that has been created that is disturbing. The B1 bombers deployed to Fairford for the war. They weren't stationed there beforehand, one would not expect them to remain there indefinitely.
Hope they found a place "not very far" where there are no white vans. Or they will just have to move them again.US President Donald Trump has said the United States moved its bombers out of RAF Fairford because of "some threats" to the base.
The Pentagon confirmed on Sunday it had removed its bombers - thought to be about a dozen B-1s - from the base back to their home stations in America.
Speaking to reporters as he departed for Nebraska on Monday, Trump said the US knew of a "threat", which led them to move the bombers...
While speaking to a gaggle of reporters outside the White House in Washington, Trump was asked if there was a "specific threat" that led the US to pull it's bombers from the airbase.
Trump replied: "Yeah I think we can say that. They didn't fly out by accident.
"There were some threats. And rather than tempting the enemy, we'll capture the enemy and beat the enemy. But why should we leave them there? So we moved them around a little bit. Not very far."
He added that Washington "actually knows the people that made the threat", but did not confirm who...

Although with someone like him in charge, it doesn't seem impossible.
That's true, refusing bail on the 5 white van drivers would have ensured the US bombers were safe ever after …Sandy Tregent

The US are withdrawing all bombers from RAF Fairford.
Thanks to the Labour government, we are being left without allies, protection and a decent defence.
