Harry & Meghan "Returning to England"

Here's one take:

Hmm I find this story very suspicious! Is a DIVORCE coming? If the children are genuinely enrolled and starting in September, that's a fairly major factual claim. How did this happen so quickly given September is a month away? Essentially we're being asked to accept a fairly enormous logistical change based upon unnamed sources, no statement from H&M or The RF all happening in weeks?

I can see that Harry is maintaining the tradition of the upper class Brits abroad sending their kids to school in the UK. Seems odd for the pair to move there though after all the claims about lack of security and Meghan seemingly being marched out of the country at Megxit. I thought Harry said the former tv cable actress would never set foot in the UK again? A colossal cheek after the way she mimicked curtseying to the late HMTQ.

Hmmm.

Sponging spongers gotta sponge.

Mebbe they just realised that there is a more gullible market to sponge from in Blighty?

Mebbe Harry is going to do some building work for Chucky and Billy Boy?

Harry's going to call his banners and make a play for the throne! How can he dare? Because Meghan's hatched some dragon eggs!!

They presumably thought the Arday story was waning and wanted to ejaculate themselves into the media vaccuum.

Maybe he’s visiting the Bank of Dad to pay his part of the £35M legal fees awarded to the Daily Mail?
Apparently he and the 6(?) other claimants were only insured for £16M worth of legal fees in the case brought against, and lost to, The Daily Mail.

About that:

Although I'm not a fan of the Daily Fail and their gossip-mongering, I support a free press, even where it's not to my taste.

I always thought that this particular civil case was a bit of a cash-grab initiated by their lawyers based on the precedent of successes against News of the World and The Sun as well as a prior success by Harry Windsor.
IMO it just smelled wrong and opportunistic right from the get go.

Those of us who live in the Cotswolds are firmly in the camp of the King and Queen. We have her back.

The Sussexes moving in amongst us with airs and graces won’t cut it…

Read what Cotswold proper really think and are saying in my column here ✍️

◊◊◊◊ off, Nadine, no-one cares what you spout (I was going to say "think", but realised my potential error).

Ah, yes, of course you soooo love the Cotswolds that you couldn't find your way from there to your constituency in Bedfordshire, before you threw your hissy fit...

Are they still "The Sussexes"? I didn't really follow that whole drama closely because I don't much care, but they were allowed to keep the fancy titles even after giving up their "duties" such as they are?

That's their "dukedom" title, they are allowed to use that to promote themselves, but their HRHs were not removed. Always remember that outside of the line of succession (Harry is now 5th in line) and financial matters it is all made up and the "royal family" love to play at make believe. HRHs are a big deal in their land of fiction so letting them keep it but not be able to use it outside the family was a huge punishment for not following the script.

Whilst I quite see that Harry wants Archie to go through the same 'gentlemanly' schooling as he did, it all seems rather odd that the former cable tv actress would want to spend any time in England.

IE he wants to farm out parenting, like his parents did for him...
Which is one of the reasons he broke with the family and moved to N.Am, apparently.
“So we as parents should be doing the most we can to try and say, ‘You know what? That happened to me, I’m going to make sure that doesn’t happen to you.‘”

The Duke of Sussex said he now wants to “break the cycle” within his family — after realising that much of the way he was treated as a youngster was the result of how his own dad was raised by Queen Elizabeth II and the late Prince Philip.

“I never saw it, I never knew about it, and then suddenly I started to piece it together and go, ‘OK, so this is where he went to school, this is what happened, I know this about his life, I also know that is connected to his parents so that means he’s treated me the way he was treated, so how can I change that for my own kids?‘” he said.

I can’t decide if he’s stupid, or just a rich hypocrite.
