Apollo 11 Moon Landing Revisited: Hoax ~vs~ Debunk

Vixen what do you mean by the term “geopositioning” or “geopositioned?

Please explain in plain language what YOU mean by the term as you have been using it in this thread? I don’t think you’ve got a remotely coherent or consistent concept of what you actually mean.
I understood the issue immediately. If you do not understand it you can find stuff at your library or online that explains it all.

Explain it to us.

What is the "issue"?

There is direct line of sight between the surface of the moon and the Earth. There is no need for any kind of satellite to relay signals between the Earth and the Moon.

This was the one job the Ektachrome bods were hired to do.
False. They were not tasked with getting useable exposure of background stars while properly rendering photos of the lunar surface. To claim they were would be a lie. We all know you know the film could not come anywhere close to doing that and that you still refuse to admit it as it undermines the stupid claim of your favourite moonhoax grifter.

My perception from past experience is that you enjoy being obtuse, not because you really care one way or the other. Thus, I would be totally wasting my time explaining any issue, which predictably you will next claim not to understand, or insert your own 'opinion' as being authoritative.

Gimme a break. NASA sent up spacecraft especially to get close up shots of various parameters in respect of yesterday's solar eclipse. Don't try to sell the line astrophysics experts aren't interested in what can be seen in the firmament from the Moon's surface.

So you can't tell us why a satellite is needed for transmission between the Earth and the Moon?

My perception based on past experience was that you had not the slightest understanding of the point you were making, or the point Allen & Weaver were making.

Stop inventing tasks for the astronauts which everyone knows they were not given.

"Close up shots of various parameters" indeed. Good grief.

NASA were interested

Apollo 16 deployed a camera designed for imaging the stars

The Far Ultraviolet Camera/Spectrograph was a tripod mounted, f/1.0, 75 mm electronographic Schmidt camera weighing 22 kg. It had a 20° field of view in the imaging mode, and 0.5x20° field in the spectrographic mode. Spectroscopic data were provided from 300 to 1350 Ångström, with 30 Å resolution, and images were provided in two passbands ranges, 1050–1260 Å and 1200–1550 Å. There were two corrector plates made of lithium fluoride (LiF) or calcium fluoride (CaF2), which could be selected for different bands of UV.[1] The camera contained a cesium iodide (CsI) photocathode and used a film cartridge which was recovered and returned to earth for processing.

NASA had a near bottomless budget.
But could only work with the technology available.

Digital photography as we know it didn't exist.
It didn't become viable as a professional format until the 90s.
I remember setting up the first practical digital camera when I worked in IT support for Emap Elan. It was a Canon SLR with a custom back containing a digital sensor. It connected to an Apple Power Mac via a SCSI cable and could not store images in the camera. It had a single frame memory buffer. The image went to the Mac for storage.
It cost £12,000 in the 90s. It went in to the small items studio for the fashion magazines and was used for product shots as it had to be used on a tripod because of the SCSI connection cable.
A few months later a FireWire version became available and could be used hand held as FireWire uses a much longer, flexible cable and has a much higher data transfer speed.

Geopositioning refers to finding ones location on the surface of the Earth. Once you have done that you would be "geopositioned", although I don't think that it is a word that would be ever required.

A geopositioning satellite is a satellite that is used (in conjunction with other geopositioning satellites) to triangulate your position on the Earth.

No such satellite system existed in the 1960s (and wouldn't for many decades), so what exactly are you referring to when you talk about a "geopositioned" satellite in regards to the Moon landings?
