In February, detectives in Bay Village opened an investigation into how Miller and Emily Moreno’s 2-year-old daughter suffered a broken collarbone. Moreno sat for a recorded interview. CNN obtained that recording through a public records request and published it in June.

On the recording, Moreno describes an incident on New Year’s Eve. She had turned on a light to change the baby’s diaper, she said, and Miller became angry and started yelling. An officer asked when the gun came into it, and what Miller did with it.

“Holds it on me,” Moreno answered. A police incident report released to reporters stated the gun was allegedly held to her head. Moreno told the officer she had described the incident to her therapist but had not gone to police, because she did not think anyone would believe her. Asked in the interview whether she wanted to report it then, she declined.

She also described a February confrontation during a custody exchange, saying Miller became angry over the timing of a birthday party and threw her into a wall.

Read the entire story. It just gets worse and worse and worse for Rep. Miller and Sen. Moreno.

Like this excerpt involving Stephanie Grisham. who served in Trump's first administration but later testified against him to the January 6th Committee:

That strategy has now produced a second lawsuit against him. Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, who dated Miller in 2019 and 2020 and later wrote that the relationship turned violent, sued him in Cuyahoga County in early July. Miller sued Grisham for defamation in 2021 and dropped the case in 2023 after both signed an agreement not to disparage each other. Grisham says his recent public comments broke it.

“The settlement included certain promises that Congressman Miller made to our client Stephanie Grisham, and those promises were broken,” her attorney, former Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann, told the Ohio Capital Journal.

Each filing has generated another round of coverage, and each round has put more of the record in front of voters.

If I though there was the chance of snowball in hell of getting a conviction in the Senate, I would support impeahment in a New York Second, bu tthe chances of convinction, sad to say, are low.

I have see a couple of posts in this forum that equate impeachment with a vote of no cofidence in a parliament. Completly different things.
 
Republicans don't worry about such things. In fact, they kinda celebrate poor behavior by their elected officials. As long as they support white supremacy, they don't care what laws they break.
 
The House going blue seem more and more certian, but the Senate is less likely since the Dems seem on some unforced errors in their nominess in swing..purple states.
 
I'm a little more optimistic about the Senate. I think democrats and independents will be hyper-energized while the Maga crowd will more than likely stay home because of all of Trump's rigged election nonsense and he's not on the ballot. Why bother voting if the fight is fixed?

Not fixed, just being realistic. A candidate as far to the left as the probable Dem nominee in Wisconsin, which is purple state. is very likely to go down in November, unless he is a much smarter candidate then he shown himself to be.
Particualry in going aftet votes in rural Wisconsin.
Meanwhile I see a number of the progressive candiates are sort of going 'DSA? Never heard of that" after the Democratic SOcialist Alliance leader
interview on Sunday in which he basically said he wants to abolish the Senate, get rid of the Presidency and the SUpreme Court, abolish all borders, and Nationalizing of most big companies. No wonder the Democratic Party progs are moving away from the DSA aftet that.

I'm telling you, I think there's a chance of flipping the Senate. These races won't be affected by GOP gerrymandering. If they do take control, then it's game over for Trump. Hell, even 7 Republican voted for his conviction last time.

From talking to people who handle elections and election law there are apparently two ways to really mess things up.

1) Johnson can dismiss the clerk who receives certifications. Problem is that if he does this then no Republicans can be received, either. It does little but make a big mess and no congress in 2027 when congress goes in session.

2) Have states with sympathetic registrars refuse to certify the elections if a Democrat wins. This would be 'easier' than #1 in some ways and something like it has happened some 30 times since 2020. However the courts would probably not be sympathetic to their complaints and as there is unlikely to be any evidence of Democrats cheating. Several county officials have been removed for these antics, so doing it en masse would take a *lot* of co-ordination and effort by the GOP to make it meaningful. Also, some states have amended their election rules so that stunts like this may not work. I should note that in those 30 cases of trying not to certify the decision the certifying body had several members and they often were outvoted, but in some cases, such as in Arizona they were able to stall for a while.

In that case, we will have think about ANY measrues to remove Trump.
An Armed populace is the last defense agains tyranny..as much as some here absoultely hate that idea.

Ah...I see the call for armed revolution has popped its head up again. And yet there are those who wring their hands, beat their chest and wail at the "inconvenience" posed by mass protests. I bet the armed revolution should be lead by someone belonging to an "acceptable" race.
