Sounds like you have your strategy all mapped out there, bud.
Iran literally just yesterday rejected a ceasefire deal presented by Iraq.
I think the odds are now in favor of a Ground war against Iran.Whatever he decided I expect we'll find out tonight since since they like to release bad news on Friday nights.
Trump met with top advisers on possibly expanding military action against Iran
US President Donald Trump met Friday with senior advisers and Cabinet members to consider expanding military action against Iran, The New York Times reported.
The meeting comes as he reassesses US policy after a fragile cease-fire collapsed and negotiations aimed at a long-term denuclearization agreement broke down.
A toll is not blackmail. 'Eventually' Iran will reduce the price according to what it's costing them to administer it, and shipping companies won't mind because it will be a piddling amount for them.I don't know what the hell the solution is. I do know that giving Iran permanent control of the Stairs of Hormuz is simply not going to work. People will get tired of paying the blackmail eventually.
This is a war. Normal rules don't apply. Normally the US would be made to pay for the damage they did in Iran, but we all know this won't happen. Iran is doing the next best thing, making us pay a tiny bit more for oil going through the Strait.Or do some of you think Iran should have the right to close off international waters unless you pay up?
Iran was never my enemy. This isn't about Trump either. I would be just as much against the US prosecuting this war if Biden or Harris was in charge. And, no I do not buy into this whole enemy of enemy is my friend nonsense. Amazing how many here seem happy to ignore that the Iranian regime is a brutal ugly dictatorship. Just becuase Trump does not like you does no tmake you the good guy.
Not an unknown tactic. It looks like The Pentagon has removed four U.S. service members who were killed in Jordan from its official casualty list, saying their deaths occurred after President Trump declared a cease-fire in April.
Why is Iran having the possibility to impose a toll any different from other countries with a similar choice?I don't know what the hell the solution is. I do know that giving Iran permanent control of the Stairs of Hormuz is simply not going to work. People will get tired of paying the blackmail eventually.

"Maybe I will just rub them out by putting my thumb down hard on them on the map. Look, it covers them completely!"

I will instruct our intelligence to share with our partners the information we have regarding Russia’s new assistance to the Iranian regime. Since the beginning of July, we have recorded active Russian satellite surveillance of the Gulf states and U.S. military facilities located there. These images subsequently appear in Iran. At the same time, there is a clear correlation between Russia’s satellite imagery of these sites and Iranian strikes – both before the attacks, in preparation for them, and afterward, to assess the damage inflicted.
On July 19 and 20 alone, four air bases fell within the area of interest of Russian satellites – two in Bahrain, one in Jordan, and one in Kuwait. The purpose is clear. None of us in the world should turn a blind eye to one very simple fact: evil always seeks ways to make things worse and spread further. Russia must be stopped. This war must be stopped. Pressure on the aggressor must work.
From the evening address. (3/3)
Seems like their relationship has become increasingly fractured since that Alaska fiasco and made Trump look pretty foolish and ineffective. So I think they're starting a falling out but purely for vanity reasons.
Be interesting to see how that affects Trump and Russia

To be honest, I guess many people who are in close proximity to Trump, especially without adequate ventilation, will have tears in their eyes."Fake news the lot of it, Putin assured me he wouldn't do such things, with Tears in his eyes !"
And Iran stop blocking the straits of Hormuz is also a minimum condition.Without a ground force, I don't see him getting out without making major concessions. I think at minimum we need nuclear inspectors but beyond that everything's negotiable. Iranian leadership has shown no signs of giving up and it feels like they can hunker down for a long time.
A number of Presidents of both parties have fallen for Putin's BS. Obama, for instance, beleived Putin he said he would never invade the Crimea....."Fake news the lot of it, Putin assured me he wouldn't do such things, with Tears in his eyes !"
