Apollo 11 Moon Landing Revisited: Hoax ~vs~ Debunk

What photo is this? Date, time, place?
Quit stalling.

AS11-40-5924, July 20, 1969, Tranquility Base, lunar surface. Your betters have already matched it extensively to the meteorological record, as @threadworm has already demonstrated.

Your job is to show evidence this photo was faked before the mission. Chop-chop.

Amazing! "Hundreds of thousands who worked on the project" received a memo saying 'Keep, shtum! We have decided to use training pictures to beat the Soviets. Please do not tell anyone. Anyone caught splitting on us will be sent to Coventry. So there. Please eat and swallow this memo as soon as you have read it. Never breathe a word to anyone. Cross your fingers and hope to die. By order of the Management and President R Nixon'.
Far more damning to your fantasy even than the thousands scientists and engineers who worked directly on the Apollo Program, who should all be educated enough to know whether their work is supposedly impossible, are the many millions worldwide who have knowledge of the science and engineering behind said missions.

Again, it's not like you and the sources you're parroting have access to any actual documentation supporting the idea that there was a conspiracy. You are merely inferring such a conspiracy based on your erroneous beliefs about the science and engineering, despite having a grossly inadequate education regarding those subjects as constantly demonstrated by such howlers as thinking that reduced gravity instantly makes one's muscles proportionately weaker, that radiation exposure makes someone radioactive themselves, that water is a product of electrolysis or that the earth always appears gibbous from the moon. Whereas those millions of people around the world who actually understand these fields of learning have maintained an overwhelming scientific consensus that Apollo was real for generations, not because "Nixon said so", but because they actually understand not only how it was done, but why the conspiracy theorists' claims are merely really stupid arguments based on ignorance and an arrogant need to believe they're among the very few too clever to be fooled.

That's why you don't want to talk about this. Because even you know how silly it looks if you openly admit that you're pretending to be smarter than virtually everyone in entire fields of science, and no matter how much you pretend to be erudite and scholarly concerning science and technology, the notion that in a debate between scientific consensus and someone who, regarding the subject at hand, is little more than a poorly educated cat toy on an obscure forum for those interested in critical thinking, you lose comprehensively.

... How realistic was it to send guys to the Moon within seven years of Kennedy's pledge, from scratch, pre-digital and internet age, communicating by walkie-talkie, TV sets non-cable or WiFi, based on radio wave antennae and receivers - valves!
100% realistic. There was no technology they needed but could not create. Just because you have no idea how it works does not mean it didn't work. You seem to think it incredible they used radio links to communicate. They still use radio links to communicate now. Because of course they do. What else do you think they use? Really long fibre optic cables?

There's that eidetic memory again! Only one this time: :dl:
Reminds me of Trump, who has said he has one of the best memories of all times. During his E. Jean Carroll deposition, his answer to a question was that he didn't remember. When they reminded him about saying he had an excellent memory, he said that he didn't remember saying that.

And it's not like Kennedy just pulled the moon thing out of his ass. He'd been advised that all the fundamental technology was already there, and that it was possible, with large scale commitment of resources, to send a person to the moon and then return them to earth.

Ah yes, the deposition in which he misidentified a photo of Carroll (taken around the time of his assault against her) as his ex-wife Marla Maples, after saying that he hadn't assaulted her, not because he wouldn't sexually assault anyone, but because she "wasn't his type".

Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

"400,000 people can't have kept it secret" is such a pitiable argument. Please stop it.
It's not just the depth of stupidity to believe otherwise, it's also the scope.

You obviously don't know about the Apollo 15 scandal involving stamp covers:

They couldn't even keep this a secret, and it involved less than ten guys.

We get it, you're mad the Soviets sucked at everything.

So here is NASA's image of the Sun. AS12-46-6739 (Apollo 12)

Compare and contrast to threadworm's image of the Earth from the surface of the Moon.

But from the Moon, the Sun and the Earth should both appear as the same size. (Otherwise, how can there be a solar eclipse..?). Ed: Sorry, careless error, now corrected. Now put brain in gear.

Did you forget the questions?

Need me to repeat them? Or are you just hoping they'll disappear in pages of spam from youas usual?

Trump's Law invoked. Argument over.

Don't change the subject.

Tell me you don't know anything about lenses without telling me.

So you don't understand lens flare, either.

Also, if the moon and sun appear to be about 0.5° in angular size from the earth, how can the earth appear the same angular size as the sun as viewed from the moon when the earth's diameter is 3.67 X greater than the moon's? Earth should appear about 1.83° from the moon.
