Apollo 11 Moon Landing Revisited: Hoax ~vs~ Debunk

So, where are we at now?

Debunkers' claims:

  1. It was quite normal for Nixon to ring 'the surface of the Moon' from the Oval on live black and white TV, 1969.
  2. Tom Kelly is an absolute legend. Dare anyone blaspheme Apollo 11?
  3. Was Tom Kelly fooled?
  4. Was Tom Kelly lying?
  5. Was his whole career nothing but the mediocre effects of "mean standard deviation?"
<fx stunned silence, outbreaks of sobs, hubbub, murmurs, the audience is on its feet with thunderous applause>

So there we have the Appeal to the Crowd.

Anyone dissing Tom Kelly will be tarred and feathered.

Oh dear. Do better.

If you kept up with the news as I do you'd know the plans for ISS.
I'm quite familiar with the developments in my field. There are no plans to use the ISS as a refueling station. However, the purpose of the ISS is to provide a microgravity and vacuum environment for testing various designs and plans that will be incorporated into other vehicles and missions. Therefore it is quite appropriate to use the ISS to develop technology even though the eventual use will have nothing to do with the ISS.

Understanding the roles of different facilities in an engineering development program apparently requires expertise you do not have. Maybe you need more standard deviations.

Pathetic

And evidently (again) hasn't read the cite.
Agreed. tl;dr = the experiment on the ISS is mounted on the outside, where it will be exposed to the space environment but also operate in microgravity. It involves testing methods of transferring cryogenic propellants from one connectible tank to another, both on the ISS.

Once suitably understood, this will be incorporated into the tanker designs currently being prepared by the Artemis contractors. One tanker is based on the Northrop Grumman Cygnus expendable cargo spacecraft, which is already a mature design. The other will be based on SpaceX Starship, which aims to reduce costs through reuse. Neither of these tankers needs a permanent orbital station. They fuel their respective landers directly. Under no plan is the ISS meant to serve as an orbital refueling station.

The RAF got them all after the Ark Royal was decommissioned in the 70s

Many years ago, before he died, I bought my father a Corgi die-cast model of the Buccaneer as a Christmas present. Not only was the aircraft carrying his squadron's number and livery (15 Squadron), but the attention to detail was so good that the serial number also matched one of 15 Sqdn's aircraft. My dad was able to get out his old logbooks and show us the many times when he'd flown that exact aircraft. In addition, he flew the Buccaneer that's on display in the RAF Museum, and also flew the Canberra in the Museum.

I once worked with a lad who was a navigator/bombadier in RAF Buccaneers. Invalided out after he lost an eye. Which wasn't anything to do with flying around at stupid speeds, 2 inches off the ground.

Apropos of nothing...

Yeah, my dad was certified down to 50 feet - they sometimes used to fly under power lines. And this was all unaided hand-flying. Unfortunately I remember the station (two Buccaneer squadrons and a Jaguar squadron) lost at least three aircraft and crew, and there were a few more ejections and aircraft losses as well.

You claimed earlier in this thread that Donald Trump had divested NASA from the US federal government, and that NASA is now a public traded company 40% owned by Elon Musk, and that the Trump family is heavily invested in this newly divested company. When asked about where you got this idiocy from you had no memory of where you read it and couldn’t find any record of where you read it, just that it was a “serious NASA style” article.

You are far and away the most misinformed person in this thread about every subject that has come up. When you do attempt to read something, you can’t understand it, misinterpreted it, misquote it, etc. and you you come up stuff like the above, the most ludicrously misinformed nonsense that any with a clue would instantly recognise as nonsense and the best you can do is just shrug your shoulders and say you’ve no idea where you got this misinformation from or why you failed to understand what you read.

It’s particularly hilarious to see your boasts about your IQ, scientific education, excellent recall, debate standards etc. and then to actually see your actual content in your posts where seem to revel in being wrong about just every subject you pontificate on.
