- Drunky McRapeface, who was confirmed by senate republicans for the supreme court despite the fact an investigation into a past case of sexual assault that he was involved in might not have been done properly
- The January 6 terrorists who got pardoned by Trump, and then went on to commit sex crimes

I'd wager that he's going to gild the columns. Not with real gold, of course.

Last I heard, it likely had something to do with a suggestion to make the columns more "ornate" and in line with the rest of Trump's changes in the White House's style.

It's especially true, I think, because unlike our fearless leader, Platner has (a) not been convicted yet, (b) wasn't the preferred choice of his party, and (c) has withdrawn. This is not to say Platner wasn't a terrible candidate who should have been vetted better, but unlike our fearless leader, his peculations have kept him out of office.
