The Truth about RFK Jr

Discussing OMB's proposed changes in how grants are funded, medicinal chemist Derek Lowe wrote, "I’d like to update the situation described in this post and its follow-up. The first is a look at just how the Trump administration is trying to destroy federally-funded research in the US as we know it and replace it with cronyism and worse, and the second is a rather urgent request for people to speak up about what a truly terrible idea this is...But if you sit back and let these funding rules go through, you are most certainly blowing up the foundation on which the entire [pharmaceutical] industry has been built. Think about it, won’t you? Just a little?"

CDC leadership continues to try to manufacture a scientific debate on vaccines where none exists (Stat, July 2, 2026)
A recent seminar on vaccine effectiveness offers a warning
What happens if public health agencies stopped trusting their own tools, scientists, and surveillance networks for measuring whether vaccines work? We end up less able to monitor the performance of Covid-19, flu, RSV vaccines, and whatever comes next.
That’s the real story behind the recent “Public Health Grand Rounds” — CDC’s flagship seminar series — on the topic of “Measuring Vaccine Effectiveness.”
Ah, the old JAQing off play. It's this insidious crap that makes those conspiracy theories so much harder to go away.

"Kennedy’s health department added several new members to a panel that will review some peptides next month.
At least seven of the members have ties to peptide-related businesses and clinics..."
RFK Jr.'s plan to boost peptide access just got more complicated (WaPo, (June 30, 2026)
An FDA staff recommendation undercut the health secretary's push on the chains of amino acids that are increasingly marketed for anti-aging and health benefits.

You don't say . . .

An Idaho mother was charged with the murders of her 18-month-old twins more than a year after suggesting their deaths were the result of vaccinations.

Andrea Shaw was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder on Monday, June 29, the Payette Police Department said in a press release.

Previously, Payette police said the 18-month-old twins were found dead in a shared bed on May 1, 2025. Authorities did not reveal a cause of death.

Days after the two children, a boy and a girl, were found dead, Shaw and her husband appeared on a podcast produced by Children's Health Defense, an anti-vaccine organization formerly led by current U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

At SBM Dr. Jonathan Howard wrote an open letter to Dr. Joseph Marine, based upon a 2024 article by the latter. Near the end he said, "Indeed, we all knew the answer. You haven’t admitted error yet, and based on my experience with Sensible Medicine doctors and their poor predictions, you never will. Being a Sensible Medicine doctor means never having to take responsibility for your words. You won’t write a coherent, robust defense of MAHA, and you’ll refuse to even acknowledge how things are going in STEMtoday. As always, with Sensible Medicine, unwanted news is unmentionable news, and I’m the true villain for having the gall to remind you that you told doctors to “love” MAHA."

So he has an autoimmune disease, and blames it on sugary cereals in his childhood, and weight gain in his 20s? Because of course it couldn't have been caused by the gazillion crazy health experiments he has undergone in order to not die? No, of course not. He's rich, so he knows about these things. Right?

And because he's rich, he will be the first to defeat this disease.

The 48-year-old later said he was undergoing blood testing to decode "one million immune cells" and work out which were attacking the lining of his stomach.

Once they had been identified, he said: "We know what therapy path to pursue to shut them down."

Apparently autoimmune gastritis is (probably?) genetic.
Using blood transfusions from his son to remain youthful was/is perhaps not a great idea.

Yeah, it's not the sugary cereals and fast food he ate as a child.
Causes & Associations
The exact cause is unknown, but it is not caused by stress or diet. It is an immune-driven response—often involving reactive T-cells—that attacks the stomach's proton pumps. Autoimmune gastritis rarely occurs in isolation; it frequently coexists with other autoimmune disorders like Type 1 diabetes, vitiligo, and autoimmune thyroid disease.

Kristina Fiore of MedPage Today reported, "HHS is paving the way to create an injury table for COVID countermeasures -- such as vaccines -- under the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP). The Health Resources and Services Administration posted a notice that it will introduce a proposed rule in November to establish the injury table, with the comment period ending in January 2027."
