Not sure where you're getting that from that page. What I find is this:Not that it makes any difference to the point but US aircraft losses in Vietnam were less than 9,000.
"In total, the United States military lost in Vietnam almost 10,000 aircraft (3,744 planes, 5,607 helicopters and about 1,000 UAVs."
That's more than 9,000 without the UAVs (3,744 + 5,607 = 9,351), and more than 10,000 if you include them. Since everyone is counting UAV losses now, might as well include them for Vietnam too.
