I fish in a little boat often using an electric trolling motor and a lithium ion battery. And people for years have been using the deep cycle batteries.

It blows me away that people voted for this embarrassingly stupid person as president. His administration paid a firm a billion dollars NOT to build a wind farm. Just walk away from the contract that already was approved.

The Jones Act contributes to California using foreign oil. Because this 1920 maritime law requires goods shipped between U.S. ports to be carried on U.S.-built, -owned, and -crewed vessels, it significantly raises the cost of transporting domestic crude oil and refined products from the Gulf Coast to the West Coast.

Burgum: California was dependent on oil coming from the strait of hormuz. They are going to have high gas prices. You can thank Gavin Newsom for that and their state legislature for the policies they put in. That has nothing to do with the strait of hormuz

Yep, all you need is a wave of Trump's imperial orange bruised hand to overturn the 23rd Amendment of the US constitution, Andy. IOW, Trump wants to break the highest law of the land because he hates Washington DC. How refreshingly consistent of him.

Oil is a fungible commodity, and there is no long-term benefit to having much more production capacity than demand. So a significant reduction in capacity in one area leads to significant price increases across the board.

They will want stadiums that 1) have natural grass, and 2) are large enough to handle the more popular games. Most of our large stadiums that could handle those games (such as skydome or Olympic stadium) have artificial turf, and you would have to do a special grass installation (which would take time to do). They would have had to plan the move months ago.

I think Commonwealth stadium in Edmonton is one of the few places in Canada which is large enough and has natural grass. Kind of surprised it was not picked as a site to host at least a few games.

Commonwealth no longer has natural grass. They replaced it with field turf a few years ago. I am honestly shocked that they are hosting world cup games at BMO in Toronto. Its a tin can that is quite honestly well below even CFL standards so I can't imaging how they fixed it up for an event this big.

And yeah thanks but no thanks for more WC matches. I know a lot of people are excited to have it here but a lot of us are also not. I would be happier if Canada wasn't involved in this corrupt fiasco at all.
