And what happens when all is one and one is all, to be a rock, but not to roll?
Tell me that!
That's the one about the guy going dogging isn't it? You know, Russell in the Hedgerow.
And what happens when all is one and one is all, to be a rock, but not to roll?
Tell me that!
How did the Israelites get to the peninsula? It was his idea to hit the rock with a stick. (Yep, the instructions were to wave his staff over the rock.) He took his entire tribe into the desert and walked around a peninsula for forty years. The Sinai can be walked entirely in less than two years at a casual pace, visually inspecting the surrounding terrain, including the methaphorical exit from said desert.
You're under the impression that Peter wrote 2 Peter? Why didn't Peter call him out as a fraud?
2 Peter 3:15-16 NIVv
Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation,
just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.
16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters.
His letters contain some things that are hard to understand,
which ignorant and unstable people distort,
as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
And you are obsessed with fairy tales and lies, utterly unwilling to accept the lack of evidence for you stories. Like that magic cave under the Euphrates that doesn't exist.......I suppose you want peer-reviewed scientific papers to prove the event? - LOL
Ridiculous.
You have such a narrow view.
Ah facts. God botherers seem to be allergic to them.It was his idea to hit the rock with a stick.
The answer to your question can be found in your bible. What do you mean "Look it up." ???
We know the earth is a sphere, correct?
Or perhaps you believe in a flat earth?
Neither is true. The Earth is not a sphere nor is it flat. What do you mean "Look it up." ???
We know the earth is a sphere, correct?

I urge you to do the maths.Realistically, there were other water sources in between. (nothing news-worthy)
And they probably filled up at the first rock.
But that is beside the point here.
And you are obsessed with fairy tales and lies, utterly unwilling to accept the lack of evidence for you stories. Like that magic cave under the Euphrates that doesn't exist.......
The Earth is spherical.Neither is true. The Earth is not a sphere nor is it flat.
I suppose you want peer-reviewed scientific papers to prove the event? - LOL

Please don't dissuade Crusty. He's one of the best tools for curing people of god bothering. "Do you really want to sound like him?"It would indeed be ridiculous to expect there to be evidence of ancient mythological stories. Nobody here expects there to be such evidence.
It is far more ridiculous to believe such stories are factual records of actual historical events.
A view which encompasses millenia of painstakingly accumulated knowledge and understanding of how the world works is far wider than one which simply ignores it all in order to continue to believe ancient comforting myths.
Take the advice of your bible and put away childish things, Rusty. Become an emotionally mature adult, and accept reality. Yes there are some down sides to growing up, but there are plenty of rewards as well.
"The purpose of faith" is to keep people from thinking.
Walt Disney personally wrote Frozen. It says his name right there on the box. You're under the impression that Peter wrote 2 Peter?

"reported" in the bible?? So your book of fairy tales was actually the newspaper of those times??Worthy to be reported in the Bible then.
The Israelites crossed the Red Sea too.
Which wasn't Moses' idea.

It's a measurably oblate spheroid. I do engineering where the oblateness matters. The Earth is spherical.
I assert that none of the miracles claimed by religion is likely to have happened as recounted. If you assume that miracles cannot happen.
Straw man. Asking for objective, testable evidence is not tantamount to asking for peer-reviewed studies. You can't prove there were any miracles at all. All you have is a story in a book.I suppose you wanted peer-reviewed scientific papers to prove the event? - LOL
Were there miracles before peer-reviewed scientific papers? (even after)
Do you believe in all religious miracle claims? You have such a narrow view.
