It wasn't a serious answer, but Badenoch's mother flew to London specifically to giive birth and get dual citizenship for her daughter, and I think she's one of the destructive elements of current UK politics.

I think this is untrue. The evidence is that her parents were working in the UK at the time of her birth. This appears to be a racist trope. If someone of white British ethnicity but previously resident abroad gave birth in London would you claim they came to London to give birth so their child would have British citizenship?

I've not seen anything that suggests she was here for any other reason or here for a significant period before hand, but if it is true then I am happy to withdraw it and apologise. My objection to Badenoch is not her skin colour, and had the discussion had been the other way round (parentage irrespective of place of birth) I'd have been even happier to point to Boris Johnson. Again, I apologise for what was obviously an ill judged jke.
