Ed Israel/US Attacks Iran /Yet Another Country/Iran

Lebanon and Israel agree on ceasefire, for realsies this time. Because, of course, the Lebanese government kept attacking Israel, giving it no choice to bomb Beirut and double and triple tapping strikes on aid workers.
Maybe (though no one could expect that) Israel will even stop shooting at UN Peacekeepers.

This is certainly not what Netanjahu wants, so Trump probably did put his bonespur down to make a deal with Iran, after which he can declare victory. At which point, Israel can once again continue its mission creep until the IDF can't even protect the core of Israel's territory, nevermind the massive expansion into Lebanon, Gaza and Syria.
Are you suggesting for one second that Hezbollah was not attacking Israel? Wow, your hate of Israel is extreme.

I suggested nothing of the sort - I said the Lebanese Government, which made the original ceasefire deal with Israel, didn't attack.
I know reading is hard when you have blinded yourself so much to reality.

Israel did not limit itself to attacking Hezbollah positions and fighters - it bombed the capital, invaded and occupied Lebanon whilst being partner to a ceasefire.
The US, the EU as well as pretty much the rest of the world called Israel out for doing so - it is a sign of deep mental manipulation that you think this is only my opinion.

At some point your blinders will come off and you will see that Right makes Might is not the best strategy.

Utter nonsense. Lebanon enables Hezbollah and you know that.
Inside Lebanon’s Fraught Push to Disarm Hezbollah
After the previous war between Hezbollah and Israel ended in a tenuous ceasefire, in 2024, Lebanon’s cash-strapped military was required to dismantle Hezbollah’s arsenal. By January, the Lebanese Army announced the completion of the first phase... Hezbollah’s leadership had been decimated by an Israeli assassination campaign, and much of its stockpile of weapons was destroyed during the war. (Israel also continued near-daily strikes during the ceasefire.)
Wafiq Safa, a senior Hezbollah official, proclaimed that the group would “force the government to backtrack” on the decision “regardless of the method.” Lebanon is now locked in a standoff over the future of one of the world’s most heavily armed militias
Who's really enabling Hezbollah? Israel.

Enables? Pretty sure I remember you saying that the Lebanese government is irrelevant because Hezbollah is far stronger than government forces. The latter could well be true, but that would undermine the former claim.

Reporter: How much oil have you gotten through the straight with the help of naval escorts?

Trump: A lot. I don't want to say how many. A lot of oil is coming into the world that people don't even know about. And that's why it's at $97 a barrel instead of $300 a barrel.

The US military said it had shot down four Iranian "one-way attack drones" launched towards the Strait of Hormuz, which it said "posed an immediate threat to regional maritime traffic".

US forces "subsequently struck Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites" in the south of the country "to defend against further attacks", US Central Command (Centcom) said.

Iran retaliated by firing ballistic missiles at two US air bases in Kuwait, and facilities of the US Navy in Bahrain, Iran's Irib news agency reported

Just an exercise

WELKER: Iran just attacked US allies in the region. Is the US at war with Iran?

TRIUMP: I call it a military exercise because people would rather have it called that. It's not a big war for us..

Welker: So are you saying you would consider sending some of the troops home, sir? Some of the 50,000 troops sent there as a part of the operation?

Trump: It costs us very little to keep them there. I don't consider them in danger. We may use them.

WELKER: What changed? You insisted 'no new wars'

TRUMP: I didn't guarantee no war. Why would I have built the strongest military in the world?

Welker: When you were campaigning, you said you would rip up the nuclear deal and negotiate a better deal. Why didn’t you negotiate a better deal at the time?

Trump: Excuse me. Excuse me. It takes years to do these things. I’m moving very fast. I’m into three months.

Obama!

Trump: Obama flew a Boeing 757, a plane I know very well, they took the seats out and they loaded it up with $1.7 billion in cash from the banks in Maryland and Virginia and D.C. and gave them 1.7 in green and gave them tens of billions and it didn’t work.

Interesting.
Trump is negotiating to let third parties release much more than that of Iranian funds without fear of sanctions.
The cash transfer under Obama was so that sanctions against Iran could stay in place.
I think Iran cares more about the total amount than the shape it's in

Obama

Welker: Iran was the closest to developing weapons-grade uranium after you ripped up the nuclear deal because there were no guardrails.

Trump: Excuse me. They were developing it during the nuclear deal. You don't know that? They got all the uranium under Obama
