Ed Israel/US Attacks Iran /Yet Another Country/Iran

Looks as though Israel is about to be thrown under the bus by Trump.
Oh, the irony.
I have always thought that Trump does not give a damn about Israelm and only supported it because he thought it was in his policial interest to do so. Now he thinks it is no longer in his interest, and so under the bus it goes.
You just used one unevidenced claim to justify another.

President Trump is playing 3D-chess in a way that sometimes makes me confused, but one thing is for certain. Obama could never have gotten a deal as good as Trump.

As the example above shows, Trump 3D chess is merely 2D chess.
The third “dimension” being the smell coming from Trump’s trousers.

I have no doubt that massive political pressure is being exerted to push Trump into starting the war again.
US bases and the Iron Dome should have been restocked with interceptors to weather an Iranian retaliation for a few weeks, so it would "just" crash the world economy and destroy the oil infrastructure of the region, and maybe damage a couple of US naval assets, to bomb Iranian cites some more.

I don't think a deal will happen, as Iran rightfully insists that Israel would have to stop attacking Lebanon, which it won't do until their elections.

Trump doesn't realize the leverage he has over Israel and his US Zionist supporters.
He can get a lot more money out of them if occasionally he does to opposite of what they want.

What a surprise

US President Donald Trump had a meeting with top aides on Friday to make a "final determination" about a framework for extending the ceasefire with Iran, but it concluded without clarity on the next steps.

Those Iranians had better do whatever it is he wants, or he'll have another meeting to reach another determination about another framework about another extension to the ceasefire and then they'll be sorry.

Donald is ranting about imaginary deals again

Fake News CNN said today, routinely, that my Iran Nuclear Deal doesn't talk about Nuclear, when actually it states, very clearly, that Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon. It then goes on, in very strong and lengthy detail, to discuss various other aspects of Nuclear. In fact, that's what most of the agreement is about. CNN, and so many others in the Fake News Media, is a Low Ratings disaster. Even with new ownership, it is unlikely to ever get better!!! President DJT

Intelligence Committee Chair Rick Crawford on Iran: "The clear-eyed view is listening to the president, who has access to more information than anybody does. There may be some individuals who take delight in undermining the president through leaks. I would encourage them to get with Team America."

He has access to the information, what he lacks is the ability to comprehend it.

No doubt Israel is playing on his fears that the US intelligence establishment is full of Deep State Biden operatives trying to manipulate him.

While Trump is spending weeks deciding any second on a deal, Israel is invading Lebanon en masse.

Strategically, this is nothing but geared toward spoiling any possible US - Iran deal and peace.
Israel does not have the ability to hold the territory it's claiming as a "buffer zone". An occupation would result in a lot of IDF casualties.

Politically, it can only be seen as attempting to turn Lebanon into another Failed State, creating the pretext for permanent war on its territory.

Unless the US dramatically cuts weapon and intelligence support to Israel to make it readjust its plans, peace in the region is not possible.

Iran has damaged 20 US military sites since the start of the war, satellite images and videos analysed by BBC Verify show, suggesting the attacks are more extensive than publicly acknowledged.

Iran has targeted key facilities across eight countries in the Middle East since the end of February, causing millions of dollars of damage to state-of the-art air defence systems, refuelling aircraft and radars.
