So if Iran's neighbour thinks they can actually secure a truce, Trump will not permit it. He would sooner bomb an ally than have his War To Secure $5.00 Gas ended early by anyone else.

Poland is a target for Russia, as are all the countries still supporting Ukraine, it's just not doing it because it sees no advantage in hostilities against Nato. Iran is different because it is already at war with the World's strongest military and targeting allies of the US isn't going to make things worse, especially if stops other middle eastern countries from getting involved on the side of the US.

I was probing TGZ's standards. He's the one who seems to think "legitimacy" of a target is important for countries like Iran.

The word "legitimate" was a minor error in context and not worth getting fixated on unless you want to avoid discussing the main point of the post. The thrust of his statement was that being allied to Israel if it attacks Iran makes you a target for Iran.

Not as badly as the US administration hoped. You do understand that things are going badly for the US at the moment don't you? Many people are finding it hard to decide if Trump and his cronies are incompetent buffoons or corrupt war profiteers. Nobody who is not a Trump supporter thinks the US is really winning.

That wasn't my question. Has Iran's attacks against its neighbors stopped them from assisting the US? That was the goal, as you stated. It's not a complicated question, I'm not sure why you're avoiding it.

Poland and all the adjoining countries are targets because Russia wants to reconstitute its empire, their support for Ukraine being only an afterthought.
 
Looks as though Israel is about to be thrown under the bus by Trump.
Oh, the irony.
I have always thought that Trump does not give a damn about Israelm and only supported it because he thought it was in his policial interest to do so. Now he thinks it is no longer in his interest, and so under the bus it goes.

True. But also, Poland has purchased an insane amount of weapons and military tech over the last few years. Based on the history of war in the region, they've kind of got a good reason for that.
