Why Are the Majority of Those in Hell the Poor and Oppressed Masses?

Is the medical industry using targets to verify NDEs?

Yes, the medical industry has conducted studies to test the accuracy of out-of-body perceptions during near-death experiences (NDEs) by placing "unusual targets in locations likely to be seen" by patients who are resuscitated. This approach aims to verify claims of awareness during clinical death.

Verification of Near-Death Experiences (NDEs)

Use of Targets in Studies

Yes, the medical industry has implemented studies to test the accuracy of out-of-body perceptions during near-death experiences (NDEs). Researchers have utilized a method involving the placement of unusual targets in specific locations that are likely to be seen by patients who are resuscitated. This approach is designed to verify claims of awareness during clinical death.

Purpose of the Studies

The primary goal of these studies is to determine whether individuals who report NDEs can accurately describe visual or auditory stimuli that they would not have been able to perceive while unconscious or clinically dead. By using targets that are not visible from the standard patient position, researchers aim to assess the validity of the experiences reported by those who have undergone NDEs.

Summary of Findings

  • Target Placement: Unusual targets are strategically placed in locations visible only from a specific vantage point.
  • Awareness Verification: The studies seek to confirm if patients can recall these targets after being resuscitated.
  • Research Outcome: The results of these studies contribute to the ongoing debate about the nature of consciousness and awareness during near-death situations.
This method represents a scientific approach to understanding the phenomena associated with NDEs and the claims made by individuals who have experienced them.

Are the findings of science carved in granite? It seems that new findings are supplanting previous discoveries.
Yes, that's how science works. When evidence arises that cannot be explained by existing theories, a methodology is applied to test and determine better theories. That doesn't happen just because people don't like the old theories. You need to have testable evidence to challenge it. The methodology incorporates the scientific standards of evidence, and is formulated to detect and reject exactly the kinds of bad reasoning you are illustrating here. Occasionally the methods themselves must be changed as we discover new ways in which obtaining and evaluating evidence may fail. Again, these changes are made according to what evidence says, not what someone desires to believe or disbelieve.

Didn't early science declare that the world was flat?
No. Early beliefs in a flat Earth were always simplistic. When scientific methodology was applied to the question of the shape of the Earth, the conclusion was initially (4th century BC) that it was round, and that never stopped being science's conclusion.

That's a great question Thanks.
And thanks for the welcome.
Please don't take blunt criticism personally here (you alluded to feeling unwelcome earlier). Try to remember that the posters here are challenging the argument, not you personally.

FYI, I'm the grandson of a Protestant Pastor who has lost the gift of faith, if you're feeling me, so I still shift back and forth between what I grew up with and what I grew into.
I wouldn't ask anyone to put their faith in a book alone.
Faith should be put in the author, not the book.
The book has a lot of problems, since it is man-made.
Ok. I'm with you so far, at least in terms of inspiring work and insights being respected and all. The Bible and its various authors had quite a way with words at times.
And faith means accepting something, or someone,
even though you don't have all the answers.

If one puts their trust in God, He will answer.
Holup- that's where the problem comes in for a lot of us. How do we put our trust in something we have no reason to believe is even real? There's a circular reasoning problem in there.
Ultimately the "guidance" comes from the person, not the book alone.

Granted, the book is usually helpful, but the relationship is key.
Testimonies say that the book became alive once the reader surrendered to the author.

Have you heard the stories coming out of Iran? Jesus is appearing to Muslims in their dreams.
I have heard schizophrenics say various voices and visions are coming to them too. That's not confidence inspiring.

Thanks.
Does that make it true?

By definition, facts are the same for everyone.

A lot of religious believers state their unevidenced beliefs as if they were facts. That is indeed an error.

It seems that those here prefer to go with the "majority' opinion.

Only when the majority opinion is the one best supported by the evidence. That means we're actually a minority a lot of the time.

Maybe this has been asked and answered but isn't the real question, why are the majority of people in hell Turks?

I wonder if Rusty Tyler has an opinion on that?
Mark 9:49 NIV
Everyone will be salted with fire.

Malachi 3:2 NIV
But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears?
For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap.

Dunno. But the criticism is the same: you hearing things and seeing things that ain't there, ya either ain't being honest with yourself, or ya gots a couple screws loose ;)
Jesus warned us.

John 10:27 NIV
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
