General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

A video od an arson attack by a gang faction is being shared by Gammons with claims that it's in Yorkshire

Ant has weighed in.

I expect a statement from all about this arson attack (one of many) on Christians. There could have been families and children in that church or at the very least individuals preparing for a service. This is a blatant attack on native Christians and our very own culture, on our very own lands. Christians across the nation must feel extremely unsafe & petrified that this is happening on our doorstep!
Awaiting patiently for your statements for such attacks that are taking place in our Christian country! (not abroad)… 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Masked protestors just set fire to the entrance of a Yorkshire church.
this is what happens when we let extremists run wild in our country.
We need to restore order now.

Can't see the video: is there the slightest bit of evidence that this actually happened, let alone happening where it is claimed and recently? Most of these claims about churches being under attack have been shown to be bollocks.

And, by the way Ant, this isn't your homeland as you ◊◊◊◊◊◊ off to avoid your tax bills: you are an immigrant somewhere else

Third different post today I've seen saying that Nigel is likely to 'cut and run' before the next election.
Seems he's very nervous about the investigations into his finances and is ready to skip to the US.

He's not made a public appearance or given an interview for over a week.

Reform insiders have told me Nigel Farage is unlikely to lead Reform into the general election & they're making plans for his replacement

There's much more to come from his donations/house purchases & he's conceded to party insiders that he won't be able to continue

Is this the new version of "Where's Wally?"

I'm seeing speculation that this is deliberate, Nige doesn't want the hassle of actually governing, and has deliberately engineered the situation where he'll have to stand down for a by-election. He'll pass the party to Yousef, but keep the £5 million and is set for life.
Bringing in previously scorned ex-Tories along with Muslims and brown-skinned people in prominent roles looks like a deliberate plan to shed his most racist voters to Rupert. Splitting his own vote like he did to Tories and Labour while getting them to implement his policies

Interesting article on how Labour got to where it is from Osbornes austerity. I need to re-read it but found myself nodding a few times

However, once in government the influence of McSweeney, and the political weakness of Starmer, began to have serious costs. Just as the far right faction had had contempt for the left during the Corbyn years, when in power they seemed to have a similar indifference to voters with socially liberal views. In McSweeney’s case this reflected a Blue Labour ideology, which combined modestly left wing economic policies with pretty socially conservative policies on asylum and immigration.

This position was the worst of all worlds for the Labour government to take. Copying Reform on immigration and asylum just legitimised and reinforced Reform’s appeal, while at the same time alienating much of Labour’s core vote. Labour in government has lost voters on both sides, although more to the left than the right.

If Farage ended up as PM he would have to do at least a little actual work, and would be held accountable for everything that happened on his watch. I can't see either appealing to him at all.
And I wouldn't bet on the latter ever happening, our media will give him a free pass so long as he puts more money in the pockets of their owners and their cronies.

It was at a demonstration and rally in Mexico.

I’d like to buy this man a pint.

Does anyone know how I can find him?

Could this legendary gentleman please get in touch.

A future Reform government would like to give him a peerage for this outstanding public service.

He can do similar to all the crooks currently sitting in the House of Lords!

He sounds British to me, Rachel!

Good for him.

This reaction explains why Reeves rarely leaves her bunker in Westminster.

I don’t know about you but I’m getting a bit sick of the likes of Reeves and Streeting lecturing us on what is and isn’t ‘British’.

Didn't take long, did it?

Reform's Candidate in Makerfield, Robert Kenyon, has his X account suspended for racist replies to a constituent, support of British Union of Fascists, and incitement to hatred & violence.

He has also 'mothballed' his Facebook, I guess, for the same reasons.
