The court appointed amici in the Trump v. IRS case filed their brief yesterday. The brief generally outlines authorities and considerations for the court rather than taking a hard stance, but can't help but point out that Trump has tremendous control over the Defendants and DOJ

And based on his own statements, he appears to be "in fact, exercising his control over the Defendants in this litigation." The brief quotes Trump as saying "I'm supposed to work our a settlement with myself," and "What I would do, tell 'em to pay me.

Of course he's going to pay himself . . . with our money.
