I believe the Eyre Arms in Hassop* has reopened. It used to be a very good, traditional pub.


One of the Explorer Scouts said that The Bull at Foolow is a good pub and his reasoning was convincing l. I find it amusing that I intend to follow the recommendation of a fourteen year old about a pub. His dad also agreed.

My local, The Old Hall in Chinley has about 6 guest beers on at any one time an pretty decent food.

*The one in Calver always looks unpromising to me.

In Worcestershire, the Tories have teamed up with the Greens to topple the minority Reform administration and replace it with a Green-led rainbow coalition.

Seconded. Also the boozer at Monsaldale, Monsal Head Hotel & Bar (Stables Bar) is very, very nice. I haven't checked it for islamification for a few months, but I did stake it out for quite some time in Feb.

Getting very close to my place of work, there. If anything, my office is less Islamified than it was 25 years ago, and the room which was set aside for things like private prayer is now just used for locking away boxes of old files.
