Conspiracy theories, obviously; a war that is not a war, which is over before it began, and will doon be over, peace that is not peace, possibilties of nuclear weapons, that were obliterated last summer, but now pose an imminent threat, Schrödinger's straits, and so on, and so on. And so on.

The world is running out of reserves, insider traders are making billions, the US is selling so much of its own oil that Americans are paying an extra half a billion every day for their gas, and all because Trump can't finish what he started. The thing I don't get is the lack of any sense of urgency to fix this ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊.

The reason we're playing the waiting game right now is because Iran's oil infrastructure is on the cusp of permanent degradation. And we don't have to hit any of it to make that happen.
 
That's just plain stupid.
Iran's infrastructure was already massively outdated. At it's currently level, it's not hard to keep it going enough for truck transport East, which is not something anyone can stop without an invasion.

No, we are waiting because Trump wants another round of Market Manipulation and needs Netanjahu off his back to make an actual deal.

Only the purely delusional think there is an actual military or political strategy here.
