Assassination of United Healthcare CEO

Except your metric doesn't really measure that in any important way. The actual useful measures would be things like reach and bias.

To which the right is extremely more bias, and has more reach, I would argue. At least that's what Fox says....all of the ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ time.
No ◊◊◊◊, Sherlock. If it wasn't, then it wouldn't be a right-wing mediasphere. It's one-sided by definition.

Then what ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ point were you trying to make? This is why engaging with you sucks. You just bind ◊◊◊◊ up until no one knows what the ◊◊◊◊ is going on, and then you're all "you're stupid lol". No, it's because you're constantly all over the map. It's like debating a pigeon.
Do you think there isn't a left-wing mediasphere?

Nowhere near what the right has, it's not even comparable.
Do you think it's not one-sided?

Nowhere near what the right is, it's not even comparable.
Because that would be a really, really stupid thing to believe.

Oh gee, Zigg calling someone stupid. Projection or...?
I don't think you're actually that stupid, though you might claim to be.

Not about this.
Bull ◊◊◊◊. How many left wing mainstream sources questioned Biden's mental competence?

Because Biden isn't incompetent, maybe? He's head and shoulders above the dementia riddled dick bag that you worship and carry water for and it's not even close. Was Biden slowing down in his old age? Yup. Did he forget things and people? Yup. Could he properly run a country by having the wherewithal to rely on intelligent advisors that led our country in a good direction? Yup.
None of them.

Nonsense, but whatever.
They all covered it up or ignored it, until they couldn't anymore. And then they blamed everyone else.

Yet they never completely out and out lied to the point where it defamed and slandered people. Isn't that crazy?
Are you confused about what the word "authentic" means? I'm genuinely confused about what point you thought you were making.

That the contents of the laptop weren't confirmed as authentic. Parts were, sure, but there were also confirmations of edits and changes to the data. I'm still not sure what this has to do with the assassination of the CEO of United Healthcare though. I know the thread topic is important to you.

When the New York Post ran a story about the Hunter Biden laptop, both Facebook and Twitter initially took steps to limit or even prevent users from sharing the story through the platform. The cited justification for this was a policy against spreading hacked information. But the information wasn't hacked, and the NYP story did not actually violate their policies. So why did they do it?

Because in the summer of 2020, FBI agents primed them to believe that such material could come from a Russian hacking operation. They ran training scenarios with platforms about such a hypothetical, while at the same time the FBI already had the laptop and knew it was authentic. And these media platforms went along with it because they wanted to stay in the Democrat's good graces.

when the story initially broke, facebook and twitter took steps to limit or prevent users from sharing it at the request of the fbi. if the assertation is that this makes them part of the left wing media sphere and is an example of them coordinating with the biden admin to stay in the good graces of the dems, i would have expected the answer to why they did it to be because they want to help the dems and not because the fbi asked them to do so.

in your opinion, how does this compare to the coordination between fox news and the trump admin?

Much more consequential. What you're complaining about happened after the election, and therefore couldn't affect it. The laptop story happened shortly before the election, and therefore could.

You can argue that, but you haven't demonstrated it.

Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?

There's a reason Biden was forced to step down. And it wasn't because he was head and shoulders above Trump.

Indeed, parts were. Were any parts demonstrated to be false? Nope. Was any of the contents demonstrated to be the result of a Russian disinfo operation? Nope.

You do realize people edit and change their own photos all the time, right?

There's this leftist idea that right wing billionaires control everything, to the detriment of everyone else. That's a large part of what motivated Mangione. But it's not really true.

insert_fox_ratings_here. There you go, demonstrated.
Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?

My eyes aren't lying. I know what I saw, and read.
There's a reason Biden was forced to step down.

Because Democrats hold their candidates to a higher standard than Republicans? Nice own goal, buddy. Usually people tap it in but you went for the bicycle kick there.
And it wasn't because he was head and shoulders above Trump.

Yes, he was, and still is, for that matter. Trump isn't intelligent, he isn't calculated, he isn't smart, he's just ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ loud. That's why he fools people like, well...you, apparently. Obnoxiously screaming lies doesn't make one intelligent, but to people like you it means they're a man's man. A real alpha male.

Trump was up there screaming about immigrants eating cats and dogs and Trump supporters couldn't get enough of it. Was it true? Nope, not at all. Just because Trump snorted some adderall and screamed lies at the camera doesn't make him more intelligent than Biden who stumbled over his words but told the truth. What a stupid implication.
Indeed, parts were. Were any parts demonstrated to be false? Nope. Was any of the contents demonstrated to be the result of a Russian disinfo operation? Nope.

Cool. When that information was confirmed and released did those news stations and social media platforms run the story like normal? Yes, yes they did. I'm sorry you get overly butt hurt by caution considering that there was documented evidence of the Russians spreading disinformation perpetually to get Trump elected the first time. Perhaps if your boy didn't worship Putin then it wouldn't have been as controversial.
You do realize people edit and change their own photos all the time, right?

No zigg, explain it to me.

It's absolutely true that right-wing billionaires are significantly more involved in getting Trump elected in public than any billionaire that supports left wingers. I don't remember seeing Soros on stage throwing oversized checks to people to get votes. I don't remember seeing any billionaire holding campaign rallies on behalf of Joe Biden. Perhaps you did, God only ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ knows where this will go now.

Bwahahahahahaha!

No. No they do not.

You can laugh. That's fine. The only person you're fooling is yourself. The GOP is a global laughing stock. You guys are going to be remembered by historians as the party that single-handedly destroyed the US's reputation on the global stage, all while handing all forms of soft power to China. The GOP is the party of, not just war, but war crimes.

That's the rich part. Trump, and his supporters, have no skill for self-awareness. They don't even realize the world is pointing and laughing at them because they elected a pedophile, rapist, criminal to lead the country.

So yes, Yes they absolutely do. Perhaps do some inner searching.

i'm going to assume you mean that what you think i'm complaining about is strictly limited to the election fraud claims that fox news was found liable for in the billion dollar defamation case with voting machine companies. but, the coordination between the trump admin and fox news absolutely is much wider than that single issue and absolutely goes back further than that. that lawsuit merely laid out the extent of the coordination between them, it's silly to look at it as an isolated issue.

in any case, in my opinion the biggest problem with your argument here is that there's not really any coordination between the dems and facebook/twitter regarding the hunter biden laptop thing. if you want to make the claim that biden abused his power by having the fbi try and stop the story, and tech companies initially complying with that request, that's at least supported by what you're saying. especially when you're comparing it to the billionaire right, who in the proceeding years from when this has happened has bought up a bunch of major media outlets and have jumped completely in bed with the corrupt admin.

ultimately tho, if we even agree that twitter was basically an arm of the left in 2020 or whatever, and idk about that, but it's been bought by musk since then who spent hundreds of millions and campaigned for trump. trump gets in office, zuckerberg is sitting down for dinner and offering billions in investment. cbs was sold, cnn is about to be sold, all the settlements, etc

this is a completely different media landscape and certainly not one that’s more favorable to the dems or a left leaning agenda. like, to say the dems are doing it too and bringing up facebook and twitter as examples of the left wing media is bizarre, even if i grant that jack dorsey is a raging leftist and zuckerberg a naked opportunist and that’s why they buried the laptop

and even at that, i think it just shows that these billionaires aren’t pushing some kind of dem agenda. they cozied up to the dems when it was convenient to try and benefit and switched sides immediately and now that they’re free to enact their own agenda, you’re seeing what it is.

Not that it's overly relevant but, to your point, didn't a billionaire friend of Trump's buy up the story of him sleeping with another porn star just so she couldn't make it public? Pretty sure that happened.

yeah. david pecker, had to sell the national enquirer over the seperate instance with karen mcdougal. of course these days he’d be the in charge of the fcc and they’d be taking away pbs broadcasting license

To the extent that it's changed recently, that's not really relevant to the original claim, which was basically that billionaires had foisted Trump upon this country.

And that's not what happened. What happened is that Trump found a base of support for a populist agenda from voters dissatisfied with both Democrats and the Republican establishment. His base of political support is not, and has never been, the billionaire class.

PBS doesn't have a broadcasting license, it would be logically impossible to take it away.

Various location stations have broadcasting licenses and use those licenses to air PBS content, but they are independent entitities.

i would say that’s more accurate for 2016 than 2020 or especially 2024. i guess i wouldn’t necessarily say they’re his base of support, but certainly a huge part of his political success in a way that there’s simply no equivalent for on the left

His base of political support is not, and has never been, the billionaire class.

Really? Is not and never has been eh? These are all the billionaires currently tied to Trump by the hip:

Care to guess how many other administrations had?

Why do you bother even making this dumb ◊◊◊◊ up? What do you get from it?

And the phrase "base of support" is ridiculous anyway. Of course they aren't, there's only a minuscule amount of them vs the rest of the population.

They certainly can manipulate the population en masse.

clearly why they’re buying up all the mass media outlets. and notice how the messaging has shifted as they continue to consolidate the media.
