Trump's Second Term

Worth noting, while Trump keeps insisting that he needs his big beautiful ballroom for security purposes, that the stated capacity of the planned new structure is about 700 - possibly up to 1,000 based on Trump's waffling, but the Washington Hilton ballroom has a capacity of about 3000, as was bascially full to capacity for the Correspondents event. So yeah, potentially more secure, but not fit for purpose.

If you take most of their words at face value, that's true enough.

It's worth noting that this round of screaming about abortion (there have been others before that also had underhanded purposes) was largely popularized by a bunch of church/religious business leaders in response to Carter threatening their organizations' tax exempt status. Why did he do that? Because they were being very political in their opposition to and refusing to follow the laws and legal decisions that were there to address racism.

Abortion remains something of an acceptable facade proxy issue that's covering up less socially acceptable things even today, of course. Also, going by the numbers, if you want fewer abortions total and healthier babies born, Democratic Party policy tends to be superior. Republican Party policy tends to keep working to make the factors that drive abortion numbers up worse and worse and just tries to cover that up with showy BS.

Kevin Warsh will bring about a new day at the Fed, with accountability, management, and sound policymaking in the lead.

The Chancellor of Germany should spend more time on ending the war with Russia/Ukraine (Where he has been totally ineffective!), and fixing his broken Country, especially Immigration and Energy, and less time on interfering with those that are getting rid of the Iran Nuclear threat, thereby making the World, including Germany, a safer place!
