General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

Lee Anderson MP
@LeeAndersonMP_
Just throwing this one out there as I was asked this question earlier today.

A couple both working with a combined income of £50,000 would pay £11,500 a year in income tax and national insurance,

Another couple receiving £50,000 in benefits including Universal Credit, Personal Independent Payment, Housing Benefit, Income Support and Child Benefit would pay no income tax or national insurance, keeping the full £50,000.

Should the non-working couple on £50,000 a year pay the same amount of income tax and national insurance as the working couple?
Of course there is also the false assumption that the working couple receives no in work benefits, which is unlikely if they also have children. Also is it remotely likely that anyone, would be receiving all those benefits at the same time?

Friendly note to Labour MPs ahead of the vote tomorrow to decide if Starmer should face an ethics probe:

If you vote against it, Reform will carpet bomb your constituency to ensure all your constituents know you voted to save the most unpopular PM of all time.

Vote wisely

Define "carpet bomb", Zia.

Do you mean going door to door? Covering every vertical surface in political posters? Going on the local radio to badmouth them? Organising street rallies?

Because all these cost money you don't have, workers you don't have, and popularity and believability and public trust you don't have.

Good luck with your hollow threats!

And if you vote against your party leader we probably won't even bother to field a candidate against you. And we'll tell all the Labour voters in your constituency to forgive your pandering to us on this issue. Probably.

I'm confused. Since when was that a Hitler moustache? Is there different Hitler you Irish chaps are talking about?
It's not quite right. It tapers away at the edges, like he wants it to look the part from a distance but leaving room for implausible deniability. The suit and the haircut are pretty well bang on though. In a Hitler fancy dress contest he certainly wouldn't come last.

Did you prompt the AI to draw a generic right-wing British politician trying as hard as possible to dress and look like Hitler? Very effective.
No he's the head of the National Rebirth Party, formerly of the l National Support Detachment and Patriotic Alternative.
Associated with Highland Division and New British Union.
