Ed Israel/US Attacks Iran /Yet Another Country/Iran

Nobody forgets that. Anyone with a functioning brain realizes it would be better to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear bomb, than getting into a nuclear war with them.

"Nuclear war"

You people really do live in fantasy land.

A nuclear war is not a country with potential for a handful of rudimentary weapons with no delivery system against a country with thousands of immediately deliverable nukes.

Anything to deflect ftom the genocide. Well played.

It is difficult to imagine a more Nazi policy than the current behaviour of the IDF in Lebanon.

Civilians are beingseuected for oppression by their ethnicity and religion. Towns are threatened with destruction (in its self a war crime), if they shelter refugees of one particular type. Not military units, but innocent women and children are to be driven out from their homes.

Zionism and nazism are the products of the same Prussian nationalism, and share many of its problems. The two ideologies are brother and sister.

And right now Iran is hurting all Americans. Prices are going through the roof, and if Trump continues to suck at his job our nation will face a variety shortages that will put our economy at risk of collapse. Who needs nukes when you can close the Strait Hormuz?

How much will the annual inflation rate in the U.S. increase as a result of the Iran war and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz?

Economists expect the Iran war and the Strait of Hormuz closure to raise U.S. inflation by on the order of 1 percentage point for 2026 relative to what it would otherwise have been, with most of that coming from energy and knock‑on effects rather than a sustained new inflation regime.

*yawn*

  • An OECD assessment cited in late March reports that the war and effective closure of Hormuz are expected to “push U.S. inflation above 4% this year,” primarily via higher oil, gas, and related commodity prices.
  • Interpreted against the pre‑shock trajectory (mid‑2s to high‑2s for the year), that implies roughly a 0.7–1.2 percentage‑point increase in the average annual inflation rate attributable to the conflict and the chokepoint disruption.
*yawn*

You should try lying less.

They were three weeks away from having enough bomb-grade uranium to make about 11 bombs. Likely about 3 months away from having a testable bomb, and likely a year away from having a missile-deliverable one.

They are well on their way to getting one. They already had a ballistic missile capable of hitting Diego Garcia, which, analysts say, means that they are very close to having a missile that could reach Europe.

Nobody forgets that. Anyone with a functioning brain realizes it would be better to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear bomb, than getting into a nuclear war with them.

Nobody is panicking. Israel and the U.S. are taking action to prevent fanatical Islamist-terrorists from obtaining nuclear weapons. I don't know any grownup except you who thinks we don't have to worry about these lunatics getting a nuclear bomb just because we have more of them. That, in fact, is insanely ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ stupid.
Good boy!

I don't know enough to say if there is a "power struggle" in Teheran that makes negotiations impossible.
What has been reported is that scammers have posed as Republican Guard Representatives and "sold" safe passage through the Strait to ship owners... with the predictable result that they got threatened by Iran to turn back or else.

This has complicated things for everyone.

Predictable indeed for everybody, except for the bunch of idiots who think that mere threats from the "most powerful an righteous planet on earth" will make anyone immediately comply …

Reports that Iran's IRGC attacked 3 ships in the Strait of Hormuz and seized 2. This comes shortly after President Trump extended the ceasefire.

solid strategy to show Trump that others can escalate, too.

It worked for China in the Tariff nonsense.

but I am extremely wary of a news site called "Polymarket Intel" - seems like something build to trick people into thinking that your bet paid off.

Iran doesn't want the Strait of Hormuz closed, they want it open so they can make $500 Million Dollars a day (which is, therefore, what they are losing if it is closed!). They only say they want it closed because I have it totally BLOCKADED (CLOSED!), so they merely want to "save face." People approached me four days ago, saying, "Sir, Iran wants to open up the Strait, immediately." But if we do that, there can never be a Deal with Iran, unless we blow up the rest of their Country, their leaders included! President DONALD J.TRUMP

Comer: "We have to ensure that World War 3 doesn't break out, and if it does, right now Iran is the one country that would be the perpetrator of that"

As mentioned previously, Trump keeping the Strait closed may be costing Iran $500m a day, but it's costing US consumers a similar amount in raised gasoline prices alone.
