Of course everyone already knew he was unsuitable, but most people, cross party thought that in the unique circumstance of having a narcissistic man-baby to whom all relations are personal and self serving squatting in the White House, sending a snake who used to be pals with the man-baby's paedo best mate was more likely to keep relations sweet than a proper diplomat. Now the release of the (partial) Epstein Files has shown he was feeding classified information to the an-baby's paedo best mate the same people who thought it was a great idea at the time are suddenly clutching their pearls and swooning at the well established fact that he was pals with Epstein.

Indeed. Private Eye printed several examples of people who should have known better saying publicly what a great idea the appointment was, only to later say it should have been obvious it was a bad choice.

I'm sick of the hypocrisy, the story is being presented as being about his already known contact with Epstein post conviction, but it isn't, it's about the information he passed to Epstein which didn't come out until the emails were released, I doubt Mandleson volunteered that story during vetting.

If Dump had been more intelligent, I wouldn't put it past him to troll the world by having the White House announce his death for then to let the world celebrate for a week before he returned with a smirk and told the world he was just kidding and that we were stuck with him for even longer.

Fortunately for us that'd require a level of intelligence he doesn't have, so.
