I highly doubt they'll keep if open forever. I'm certain that Iran never said it, nor will they ever say that. It's the biggest lever they have, why would they give it up?

I agree that investors make decisions based in part on what they think someone else will do.

But eventually, someone gets stuck with the bill at the end. Personally I would rather not be "that guy" who gets screwed over just because I was the last one to do something before disaster hit again.

The Strait is not open as it pertains to Iran he told me. ‘We have to finish the deal before we open it for Iran’. The regime in Iran should bear blame for a lot of things. This war? That's all Trump and co, not Iran in any meaningful way (beyond maybe a previously suggested dangling of soon to die bait to make the bait a martyr and strengthen their politics). As for blame the Jews? Blaming Netanyahu for things entirely in line with his usual behavior is not something worthy of condemnation and raising the specter of antisemitism in response to doing so invokes a version of antisemitism that exists to protect bad behavior, not condemn it.
