Iran did not ask for it, but this was a test. They did well, and so far it all improved their confidence. They may not be quite as stong, but they survived. Israel (army 500 000 or so) can't do much against Iran. I think was probably why Israel tricked Trump into this.

And to think that with the existing treaties the USA could have just gotten most of these demands by just nicely asking their longtime friend and ally - even a new mineral rights agreement would have been totally negotiable. Like you used to do with friends and allies, you know, behind the scene respectful diplomacy and negotiation, not forgetting big juicy carrots. Intead of public blackmail, threats of violence and petulant, childish anger. How have the mighty fallen - the once leader of the free world...

However, the new proposals, set out under Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, will see those men automatically registered in the pool within 30 days of their 18th birthday
