How many generals were there, who are experienced with this kind of thing?

Can you name three generals who have experience with a war against a nation like Iran, in the modern context, who were fired before they had a chance to offer their expertise?

They can look at the historical knowledge that would all be documented. They could have consulted with the Iran experts but Trump fired them all because they had been brought into the secret documents charges because some of the documents Trump stole related to Iran.
 
There is no such thing as invicibility in the air. Air Superiority, yes, but not invicbibility, evne when you have air superotity, you have to expect losses.
Trump and Hesgarth should have known this. Any air war strategist could have told them that. BUt, being morons, they ignroed it.
And I am convinced the reason the head of the US Army was fired was because he was telling Trump and Hesgarth things about what a ground war in Iran would cost that they did not want to hear.

Someone once described the Iran Iraq war as a war with 1970's weapons, 1916 tactics, and 1000 AD mentalities.

You know that nobody in the US military has experience of fighting a war against Iran with no clear objectives, that was claimed to be at the instigation of Israel, and where the Secretary of Defense had previously inadvertently let a journalist into his illegal planning chat for a strike against Iran's allies.

Hegseth is thrashing a lot of the institutional competence of the US military and I think you would agree that he hasn't demonstrated that he has the understanding of his role to take such decisions. Obviously politicians do sometimes need to make decisions about senior military officials but this is best done sparingly and for clear reasons.

Hegseth's clear out doesn't look like that. It looks like a recipe for chaos. I am including the previous 17 senior officers he had previously sacked in his short tenure as well.
 
The US has been wargaming a war with Iran since forever - but they clearly haven't updated it for drone warfare, or if they have those reports were ignored.

In answer to @theprestige - Randy George enlisted in 1982, and commissioned in 1988, so he has had experience of fighting in the Middle East as a senior office, and has been wounded, sufficiently to get a purple heart.

In another video, she also points out that if the US had removed 20 Iranian generals since taking office, Trump would rightly be claiming that as a massive success against the capability of the Iranian military.
