If people are desperate for an Easter message please pop into your local church and you will hear one from an actual priest.

Some of the Comments

Local church? The one with the rainbow flags outside?

Yes. I agree. The Head of the Church of England a piece of ◊◊◊◊. Go visit a real Church.

Make a similar comment about Ramadan, Eid and the mass displays of praying in public.
Go on, I dare you

What will you preach the gospel or Marxist Lents trans gender trash ?☦️✝️

And how many of these pillocks have actually read the New Testament?

Chunks of Acts are pretty much an anarcho-syndicalist guide book. Or do they just like the violent hallucinations of Revelations?

I have a few genuinely devout friends who would definitely agree with your comments

Sermon on the Mount? Sermon on the Woke more like. Know what I'd say? I'd say "Oy, Jesus. No!"

These Middle Eastern death cults coming over here!

Zoroastrianism would have been healthier and was (pacé temples up on the Waal - sic) here earlier...

And, depending on one's interpretations of some aspects of paganism and earlier religious beliefs and practices, I think our native ancestors could hold their own in the death cult stakes.

Or Mithras.
There are two well known temples surviving, two in London and one on Hadrian's Wall.

Mithraism has a lot of parallels with Roman Christian mythology and it's suggested some aspects were incorporated in to the early Roman church.

They certainly haven't read this little parable:

The parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector (Luke 18:9-14)

In this parable, a Pharisee and a tax collector went to the temple to pray. The Pharisee prayed about how good he was, but the tax collector asked for God’s mercy as he was a sinner. Jesus said that it was the tax collector who went home justified before God. He concluded, “Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

When silence speaks louder than words…
No Easter message from the King this year—so let us turn to the words of our gracious Queen, who never failed to honour this holy day and speak to the nation with faith, hope, and conviction.
God bless Her Majesty. Happy Easter.

Show me in the post where it says she made an Easter speech every year.

Robert Abel
@rj_abel
The post doesn’t suggest that she made Easter messages every year

Robert Abel
@rj_abel
She honoured this holy day.
No mention of repeated Easter messages every year. Idiot!

Robert Abel
@rj_abel
The post doesn’t say that she did an Easter message every year unlike the king.

I mean, give Chucky a chance!

He was doing the thing at St Asaph's yesterday and he has all weekend to spout some relevant platitudes.

Or does Abel think that Maundy Thursday has no connection to Easter?

Starmer is finished

Labour is now attacking the great British marmalade!

No idea Keir is so desperate to fit in with his EU pals and unpick Brexit, he's now looking to rename British marmalade to align with the EU.

When Labour negotiates, Britain loses big time….

The revision also suggests labelling products as 'orange marmalade' or 'lemon marmalade', for example.

Senior Tory MP Priti Patel, the shadow foreign secretary whose Essex constituency is home to the Tiptree marmalade brand, said it showed how Labour's EU 'reset' is 'descending into farce'.

She told the Mail: 'This marmalade madness is a classic example of the nonsense bureaucracy that emanates from Brussels.

All of their marmalades seem to be labelled with the fruit they are made from, for example "Old Times Orange Marmalade", "Orange & Tangerine Marmalade","Lime Marmalade"...

It's as if Patel has never seen a jar of her constituents' products.

In fact, all it seems to be doing is relaxing the regulations so that preserves made with fruits other than citrus can be labelled as "marmalade". I thought the Tories were supposed to be in favour of deregulation.
