Ed Israel/US Attacks Iran /Yet Another Country/Iran

maybe, for old times sake i suppose, europe is supposed to go straighten out the oil traffic and rebuild the damage from this war he won and is leaving in two weeks and shift their military to the middle east while he destroys their economies and prepares to invade greenland?

There was no problem with navigation until Donald decided he needed a distraction from his collapsing economy and Epstein.
But there is a problem now. And it's in Europe's interest to solve it.

So why doesn't Europe try to solve it? Blame whoever you want to, it won't change the fact that Europe has a problem. And they're not doing anything about it.

Do you really think it is inconsequential to allow one country to use bases in your own country from which to attack another country?
As theprestige noted, I said airspace, not bases.

And what are the consequences for allowing the use of air space? know what Europe is afraid the consequences could be. Europe is afraid of domestic terrorism from their imported Islamic radicals.

Boy, was that a mistake. Europe is now more pro-Iran than the middle east is.

Yes, the problem are the consequences of the illegal and unneeded war Trump started to show his fellow incels his manlyness.
And they are attempting to do something about it, by seeking to prevent him from using European assets to continue doing so.

Didn't say bases. Said airspace.

But please, tell us what you think the consequences of this would be, and why they're not a reasonable trade-off for the countries involved.

The potential trade off from appearing to endorse a major bombing campaign against on Iran? The most obvious downside would be making yourself a target for asymmetric warfare responses by Iran or its proxies. The upside would be... pleasing Trump I guess. Not that he'd remember or be grateful. He only remembers sleights. I can't see that providing convenient bases or indeed airspace would mean Iran would now have been more defeated than the 100% defeated Trump keeps announcing it is.

Do you take a view on how this would have gone differently if Trump had free reign to use whatever European facilities he pleased?

Of all the insults to level at Trump (some of them deserved), "incel" is probably the most pathetic. He was banging multiple porn stars, and paid them to not talk about it. Do you even know what "incel" even means?

Oh, and it's spelled "manliness".

In order to solve the problem of Iran closing the straights, Europe wants to reward Iran from closing the straights.

Yeah, that will never come back to bite them on the ass.

It's funny that you bring up consequences when the Trump administration clearly didn't consider them before they started this dumb pointless war for no reason.

Regardless, "What's the worst that could happen?" isn't a particularly convincing argument.

The Trump administration started a dumb pointless war for no reason and other countries don't want anything to do with it. That is a reasonable position to take.

What problem is there? And what was the cause of that problem?

Well, not all of Europe for sure. I live in a country that has made sensible decisions about it's energy generation mix for the future ... and about it's relationship with that ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ mad country the other side of the Atlantic.

Yeah, that will never come back to bite them on the ass.

Concerns about things coming back to bite people in the ass seem to have come to you a little late.

Having caused the problem of Iran closing the Straits, Trump can't bear to leave Iran in control of the waters off its own coastline.

This is currently biting him on the ass and it's not clear he has any plan of how to pry its jaws off his butt.

When Donald gets bored and declares a final victory and starts to destroy Cuba or Panama instead the Straits will open again.

What freedom of navigation would they lose if they don’t agree to our demands to help us in this dumb pointless war we started for no reason?
They have already lost freedom of navigation through the straits. The question is, are they interested in restoring that? So far, it appears that they are not.

What would you do differently if you were a European country? Sink the US navy and declare the war over and the Straits open?
Send warships to escort European shipping through the straits. Defend those ships against anyone who attacks them.

Do you think the US navy would attack European shipping? Or is it Iran who would attack European shipping?
