The arrows point to the end of segregation, restrictions after September 11th, and the election victories of Dump I, Biden, and Dump II.
We knew he was terrible for democracy, but it's striking to see it so clear in graph form.

I don't subscribe to the paper so I can't read the full article, but I imagine the trumpkins who have pretty much overrun the BT comments threads in the past few years have excuses and whataboutisms for this, too. Or ad hominems to throw at V-Dem, also in place of any real arguments.
