As an 18-year-old kid, I supported the war. I enlisted in the Marines a month after we invaded, and left for bootcamp a few months after I graduated from high school. Even though I was just a kid, I still feel guilty for supporting the war.

Hope I'm not playing Cassandra but rather like decapitating the regime in Iran, it might be wise not to prepare your celebration of an end to American hegemony until you get a sense of what might replace it.

The betrayal of the Marsh Arabs for minimal military benefit was a stain on Western governments in 1991. Which was the actual time when there could have been regime change in Iraq with far less political fallout. Although I remember that at the time, one reason for leaving Saddam in power was the risk of it degenerating into secterian warfare, so I guess we dodged a bullet then.

Interesting MTG identify the attack on the girls school as being Israeli, I assume we will hear how it was a command and control centre for Hamas shortly, how the girls were being used as human shields, that the IDF (remember the ones that stand around watching a child bleed to death for forty minutes, refusing to allow ambulance or mother access, then take the body away and refuse to return it to the parents) are the most moral army in the world and don't target children or journalists or medics.

And its not like the USA overthrew a legitimate Iranian government and then supported a brutal dictatorship for decades after that is it?
