General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

I drink tea. With cow milk, but that's more of a habit than anything else.

BTW the Palestinian Action ban has been overturned.

You end up with someone like Farage as head of state.

Back to my perennial question then: why do we need a head of state?

And if, as a republic, we do decide we need one, then how about limiting them to only ceremonial functions, like Ireland has done?

If it is a powerless, ceremonial, symbolic role, then the member for Innsmouth can parade araound, smirking, all he wants, AFAIC.

Nick Ferrari: Do you feel safe in London?

Nadhim Zahawi(Reform): No... I walked from my home.. & an individual walked past me... & I walked into the middle of the road

NF: What was he doing?

NZ: He looked as if he hadn't slept for a week... he looked like he might be violent

...snip...
Should have asked "Why, did he look like a reform employee who didn't know you?"

ETA: Also stepped into the middle of the road at 8AM - in London?

Well, if he's blundering into the middle of the road of course he doesn't feel safe.

Plus of course this is performative BS for the provincial Reform faithful who think London is a terrifying no-go hellhole, because they keep being told it is by twats like him, while actual Londoners find it's absolutely fine.
