Pointing out your Constitution is an outdated document, which assumed a lot of things without pinning them down and open to abuse by those willing to game the rules is not hating it.
It's just we were not brought up worshiping the US constitution as an infallible document of utter enlightenment which has not seen it's like ever.
Just like Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the US constitution was fair for it's day. But it has clearly failed to stand up to a party willing to ignore it's intent to have checks and balances without specifying how to arrange that.
It also never made any provision for a totally subservient Senate and House just rubber stamping the decrees of a single man.
And that's understandable, how could a few men in the 1790's prepare for things like mass propaganda as we can do now in the early 2000's?
When it was written only a very small percentage of the population was allowed to vote, and those were all educated to a degree. It assumes no politician would support an incompetent clown because he gets good ratings spewing empty promises. It assumes those competing for office will be competent in said office, but at no point demands this. Nor is there any consequence for failing at their jobs. So now you have a situation where your judges, sheriffs, school boards, are elected based on who can make the most catch ads. And those ads are often paid for by a few billionaires.
And that's just scratching the surface. A document written to govern a few, mostly agricultural, relatively poor and unimportant ex-colonies is just not realistic as the basis for the current US.
