Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

DHS agents in MN swerved in front of an unarmed woman who was recording them, once again WALK IN FRONT OF A CAR with guns drawn. The only thing they've learned from Renee Good is how to get away with killing people. A local cop intervened to stop the illegal arrest!

The crime rate of Customs and Border Protection agents and officers is apparently higher per capita than the crime rate of undocumented immigrants in the United States.

Journalist and historian Garrett Graff testified before the panel and discussed issues that affected U.S. Customs and Border Protection long before President Donald Trump took office.

Graff cited CBP discipline reports from 2005 to 2024 and said CBP has been the most troubled federal law enforcement agency for the better part of two decades.

“At least 4,913 CBP officers and agents have been arrested themselves, some multiple times,” Graff said, adding that CBP had higher arrest rates than undocumented immigrants.

It's coming as quite a surprise to the right-wing propaganda machine that people would rather have their neighbors and cohabitants—documented or not—than Pres. Trump's shock troops. The people on the ground can see who is actually committing the crimes they care about.

NBC Los Angeles: "The video that has circulated on social media shows a suspect in dark clothing appearing to try evading an arrest in Lynwood while an officer with the Anaheim police vest chases him. When the suspect finally puts his hands up, the video shows, the officer appears to pistol-whip the suspect in the head as another officer runs over to tackle him. The footage does not show what happened prior to the arrest. The suspect, who says he’s 16 years old in the video, appears to have his face covered with blood."

They continued, "The teenager who was taken into custody in Lynwood was the ninth suspect in the smash-and-grab burglary of an Anaheim Hills jewelry store that ended in multiple car crashes on Monday, Jan. 23, the department explained. When undercover officers tried to detain the outstanding suspect at a traffic stop in Lynwood, he abandoned his car and ran into a home. The suspect, Anaheim police said, continued to run away from police and tried to hijack two cars. The video was shot during his second attempt to steal a getaway car, according to Anaheim officials."

On Twitter you can find people defending this action, saying that it was justified on the basis of carjacking. I am not one of them.

When even Ammon Bundy says ICE is wrong...

'Sickening': Ammon Bundy slams ICE as major schism tears apart right-wing militants

Ammon Bundy was the most famous right-wing militant in America not long ago, after he led two armed standoffs against federal agents at his family's Nevada ranch and an Oregon bird sanctuary, but his outspoken criticism of President Donald Trump has made him an outcast in his own community.

The 50-year-old published a lengthy essay in November on "God's law and the unalienable right to migrate" and decried the Trump administration’s treatment of undocumented immigrants as a "moral failure." In a recent livestream he condemned the fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE agent in Minnesota, and he spoke with The Atlantic a few hours after federal immigration agents gunned down Alex Pretti.

“It’s sickening to me, just to see the parallels of history repeating itself,” Bundy told the magazine's Jacob Stern. “When it comes to the more humanitarian side of it, I think the left has it much more correct than the nationalist right.”

Subsist in stygian anguish, Miller. Every last part of you, for the rest of time. Your elbows, your innards and your Eichmannoid head. Humanity yearns for the day when the metastatic hatred you spawned returns home like a karmic, gammadion suppository. Egest your eyeballs and use Old Faithful as a bidet, you irredeemable, vulvic wraith.

Heller, the case which revived the modern view of the 2nd Amendment, was specifically about striking down a ban on possessing handguns in Washington, DC.

Pirro: "You bring a gun into the District, you mark my words, you're going to jail. I don't care if you have a license in another district and I don't care if you're a law abiding law owner somewhere else. You bring a gun into this District, count on going to jail and hope you get the gun back. And that makes all the difference."

In a review of Melania I found the following passage quoted from the film.

Mrs. Trump herself talks about her “journey as an immigrant” from Slovenia to the White House — “a reminder of why I respect this nation so deeply,” she says. “Everyone should do what they can to protect our individual rights. Never take them for granted, because in the end, no matter where we come from, we are bound by the same humanity.”

Ironic, ain't it?

"Bound by the same humanity" is interesting wording: she's avoiding making a direct claim of being human herself. In fact it sort of suggests she's complaining about the confines of occupying a nearly humanoid shape. For now.

Doesn't matter. They'll steal the election.
And how will they do that?
I can see them maybe stealing a couple of seats but enough to swing the election/
Thing is any thing they can do to steal the whole election would be so transparent and obbvious it will signal a period of massive unreat ant civil strife that will make the 60's look mild in comparasion. Think 1860's 1960's.
I know you like playing Cassandra, but you might want to reconsider.
