Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

Paul Allen, the Vikings radio host, is apologizing for saying that “paid protesters” braving frigid Minneapolis weather might deserve “hazard pay.”

He called it an insensitive, poorly timed joke with no ill intent, said he’s sorry to anyone hurt, and announced he’s taking a few days off after backlash

And, taking advantage of the time away, getting a long overdue adjustment to his toupee.
.

He thinks it makes him sound tough, rather than like a raving maniac itching to kill someone.
In these 'the cruelty is the point' days, I can never tell anymore.
It also makes him sound like he's not in control, though. Whether he means it as pandering to the far-right, or trying to act tough, or both, in my eyes it makes him look scared.

Assumes facts not in evidence.

Correct, I'm assuming things about how the goonish brain works.
I think my assumption is plausible. And they turned murderous after they discovered his gun.
Now the MagaTools have that gun in their propaganda armory.

You may assume that I feel sick about this event.

They wouldn't have turned murderous had this been an armed proud boys gathering.*

*Which it probably kinda was.

FTFY

And a dozen goons pepperspraying and beating a man on the ground is already too close to murderous to slip a fag paper between.

Loomer couldn't even be bothered to look at Wikipedia:

"Several street protests and demonstrations were held in Minneapolis in reaction to Damond's death. The day after the killing, several hundred people attended a vigil in Damond's memory at the site of her death in the alleyway entrance located on the north side of West 51st Street between Xerxes Avenue South and Washburn Avenue South. On July 20, 2017, hundreds marched to Beard's Plaisance Park in memory of Damond and to call for greater police accountability. On July 21, 2017, a group of protesters including local activist John Thompson interupted a press conference by Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges to demand her resignation.

A memorial service for Damond was held on August 11, 2017, on the shore of Lake Harriet. The service was at the bandshell and there was a silent walk around the lake afterwards. It was attended by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton, Damond's family and fiancé, and about 1,000 mourners. In his speech to the crowd, Damond's father said, "We're determined to get justice for Justine, because that will be justice for all of us."

Damond's death and legal case continued to be protested locally by diverse activists in the context of broader police reform efforts. Protesters used many of the same slogans and tactics to protest Damond's death that they had used to protest the killing of black men by local law enforcement officers. Social justice activists held a "Justice for Justine" rally in 2018 on the day Noor was criminally charged, and they gathered again in 2019 when he was convicted at trial. The protests were endorsed by local chapters of Black Lives Matter and the NAACP and by organizations protesting the law enforcement killings of Jamar Clark and Philando Castile. Over the next several years, Damond's name was featured prominently in other local protests."

She turns it into her old fashion racism.
Or maybe she doesn't even know how to read.

Wow. This is exactly the opposite of what's supposed to happen in an officer-involved shooting. It's telling that he says he removed the officer from "Minnesota's jurisdiction." That's not a doxxing thing. That's a thing where he's trying to prevent Minnesota law enforcement from investigating the shooting. They're not even bothering to say the quiet part quiet.

To be clear, a federal officer charged with a state crime can raise a defense that the charges are invalid due to federal supremacy. He must convince a federal judge of that, and if he does then the charges are dismissed without further discovery or argument. But the ability to raise that defense does not prevent the state from investigating the activity or bringing the charges in the first place.

...he's also a victim of Minnesota's brain-dead carry law. The IceStapo wouldn't have
shot him if they hadn't found his ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ pistol.
Arguable. It has been said that because he did not have ID on him, he was carrying his weapon illegally even if he was issued with a permit. The facts are attested to only by DHS in this case, so we don't know if they're actually true. The law is clear in saying that you must carry your permit and a state-issued photo ID whenever you carry your weapon.

However that's quite literally irrelevant to the question of justifiable force. The officers would have been justified in shooting him only if he used his weapon—lawfully or unlawfully carried—to threaten them. Merely discovering a weapon on him is not reasonable fear for one's life. It's not as if the officers verified the lawfulness of the carry before they executed him. Had he been disarmed, subdued, and arrested in the normal way, the lawfulness of his carry would have factored into state charges. But it carries absolutely no weight in a determination of reasonable fear for safety.
