Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

Donald wants any and sll criminals in Minessota
And that's now how it works. Criminals are expected to satisfy the terms of their criminal sentences before any deportation ensues. This is to satisfy the needs of the victims of those crimes. After the criminal sentence is satisfied, then the state may turn over people for civil removal proceedings. And the Minnesota Department of Corrections has shown that they in fact do that, have always done that, and will continue to do that. They brought the receipts, in contrast with the Trump regime's obviously made-up numbers.

What the Trump regime wants is for undocumented individuals arrested on suspicion of criminal acts to be immediately turned over to ICE for deportation without facing their criminal charges, and people serving sentences for criminal convictions to be given to ICE for deportation. That's a clear violation of a state's sovereignty as guaranteed by the 11th Amendment. The Trump regime can stomp and whine all it wants about how Minnesota is "not cooperating" with law enforcement, but the regime has no lawful authority to obtain what it is demanding. This is why they're misusing federal authority to put pressure on Minnesota to do what they are not obliged to do, and which is not in the best interests of the state.

Yeah, not at all what happened. It's amazing that these people in this day and age think they can just spin whatever narrative they want despite mounds of documentary evidence to the contrary.

Duffy is a former prosecutor, and it used to be the case that prosecutors could convincingly say that an armed arrestee engaged an officer with a weapon even when it wasn't true. The only surviving person in the case was typically the cop, who could just say whatever he wanted and prosecutors would just go with it. That's why we have body cams now, and that's why protesters are organizing to provide incontrovertible evidence to contradict police narratives. Police always lie. Duffy is stuck in the "just plant a gun on him and claim self defense" era.

Cleaned-up and stabilized video is now available. It shows that the officer who first shoots Pretti saw or should have seen the officer who disarmed Pretti. It happened right in front of him, and he was looking down in that direction. It also emphasizes that Pretti at no time engaged or resisted the officers. He was pretty much ignoring them altogether and focused on helping the woman who was pushed down. But as usual the Trump regime is trying to set up a complete fantasy narrative by sheer fiat.
Too bad iceholes aren't wearing body cams as a general rule. Well, too bad for us.

They execute people and call it self-defense. More people will die, and they'll continue to call it self-defense. It doesn't matter that all of the evidence shows otherwise. More and more Americans are seeing the lies for what they are, these deaths aren't in vain, they matter.

I don't like the sound of this. Of course I don't like the sound of anything from this administration.

Nor do I. The Trump regime is continually warping or just plain making up the narrative. Minnesota is in full compliance with federal law, and has obligations to its citizens under state law that it must not abrogate. The Trump regime knows it cannot compel Minnesota under the law to do what is being asked, so it must bully them into it. This is all admitted to by the U.S. Attorney General, so there's no "Trump derangement syndrome" at play here. If you read The Art of the Deal, you realize it should have been titled The Art of the Bully. There was never a time when Donald Trump was not just a petty thug.

And I just wish to christ that he'd left that gun at home. He's a victim of Trumpff's hoodlums, of course,
but he's also a victim of Minnesota's brain-dead carry law. The IceStapo wouldn't have
shot him if they hadn't found his ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ pistol.

But it's hard for me to sympathize with anybody who carries needlessly.

stop the pity party for yourself.

even before they saw the gun, they pepper sprayed him so much that anyone with asthma would have been dead.
And there is no scenario, for anyone, in which shooting someone in the back is self defense.

What you can say is that ICE is untrained, incompetent, and scared ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ - all good reasons to not let them go out in public.
What should be said is that whoever deployed them to Minnesota is just as guilty as the shooter.

It's stochastic terrorism. Flood the zone with untrained, heavily-armed goons and tell them they have immunity for anything they might do. You don't need to give them specific instructions. The obvious goal is to get people killed on either or both sides of the fight as a pretext to come down heavy.

Cultists confuse bullying behavior with toughness.

Assumes facts not in evidence.

Is he from the 50s?

Rep. Eli Crane: "I think it's a communist insurrection. I really do. And I do think the president should invoke the Insurrection Act. The House Freedom Caucus is going to be pushing that up the chain of command this week."

The freedom caucus LOL Urging the removal of freedoms. All you can do is laugh some days.

Meanwhile in Florida

Sheriff Wayne Ivey: “If you throw a brick, a firebomb, or point a gun at one of our deputies, we will be notifying your family where to collect your remains at because we will kill you, graveyard dead”

How does 'Graveyard Dead' differ from 'Tear gassed, assaulted, beaten to the ground, your undrawn gun taken from your waistband and shot ten times in the back Dead'?
