Mike Johnson taught him well. I expect the whole Trump admin (except for the god emperor himself, who constantly blurts out his greatest hits, no matter who his audience is), will start saying that shortly.

No, the Laffer curve doesn't provide such an excuse. Those who wildly misuse it deserve mockery, sure, but that's not a problem with the Laffer curve.

A long time ago when my wife was pregnant with our first, I got an offer to manage a fishing/hunting camp north of Churchill MB. We talked about it and the guy who made the offer suggested that either we wait until our child was born, or we move to Winnepeg where I could fly back when the time came. I passed and now really regret it as our granddaughters will have to endure out new fascist overlords, if not a civil war.

We've seen the encouragement of provincial separation egged on by the most extreme MAGA influencers and now even Bessent has put in his 2 cents on the matter. Its a talking point for the regime now, there will be more of this coming. There is evidence emerging that they are materially supporting separatist movements in Alberta and Quebec and running influence campaigns to try and destabilize our federation. I have noticed a LOT of negative videos about Canada in my youtube suggestions lately, I'm not sure if its part of that but there certainly seems to be a lot of them.

Very rocky times are ahead for this country. One could argue we are already at war. I hope Europe listened to Carney's speech at Davos. And I hope they learned from this past week's events regarding Greenland. You can stand up to Trump. He is all talk. It may hurt a bit but this administration must be brought to heel or the world is in for a very dark time.

Trust for Historic Preservation, a group that couldn't care less about our Country! All of the Structural Steel, Windows, Doors, A.C./Heating Equipment, Marble, Stone, Precast Concrete, Bulletproof Windows and Glass, Anti-Drone Roofing, and much more, has been ordered (or is ready to be), and there is no practical or reasonable way to go back. IT IS TOO LATE! Why didn't these obstructionists and troublemakers bring their baseless lawsuit much earlier? Congress never tried, or wanted, to stop the Ballroom Project! I know how you feel. I gave my 130 acre plot in Nova Scotia to the Nature Conservancy right before Trump's first term! I had it for fifty years and chose that time give it away! I could be happily fishing in Doherty Creek, shopping in picturesque Pugwash, "home of the thinkers," with all the street names in Gaelic....well, no, I'd still have to qualify to immigrate, I guess, but still.

My guess is he intends to lay out his overwhelming lack of evidence that the 2020 election was rigged and stolen from him. It might actually be unintentionally funny.

I have no doubt he has had teams of people, whose careers dangled by a thread, slaving away as they have been tasked with finding the non-existent evidence, knowing failure will be taken as treachery and disloyalty. So we may be treated to the spectacle of what frightened people come up with when they have been desperately trying to spin gold out of straw and make it look like they were making some kind of progress for month after month.
