Birthright citizenship is the fiction that the children of illegals, if born here, are citizens. But Democrats take this mad delusion even further: they claim that if an illegal smuggles a minor past the border they and the child get to stay here and collect welfare for life. No.

Orr as is more commonly the case for DACA, the child grows up, goes to college, gets a job, and pays taxes. It was never about undocumented criminals. It was always about the fiction that immigrants soak up resources that should be going to (white) Americans. I saw a blurb the other day from the Minnesota governor's office—which I can't find now—saying that the recent criminal arrests ICE is crowing about were actually arrested before the surge, with the cooperation of Minnesota law enforcement.
 
i have a relative that is married to a daca guy. his parents moved here in the 70s and bought a house and made a family. an immigration lawyer scammed them when they tried to get citizenship, they moved back to mexico earlier this year. like me he’s done blue collar work his whole life, he’s just a normal guy in a normal family who’s parents fled the country

I finally realized who/what Bovino reminds me of. He looks and acts like an aimless college freshman who watched The Caine Mutiny one night and came away with the idea that he needed to base his personality and appearance on Queeg

I was wondering, if the feds are losing support of local law enforcement, how much longer will they be able to function?

It depends on location. In red states that have 287(g) agreements in place, everyone likes the cooperation. In blue states, ICE operates under the false premise that federal authority is universally superior to local or state authority and that state officials are disobeying federal law or failing to enforce it. The problem is numbers. Minneapolis has about 900 officers on its police force while ICE is surging between 2,000 and 3,000 agents with 1,500 Army people ready to come in if needed. The Trump regime will just send as many agents and soldiers there as are needed, and Gov. Walz has mobilized the Minnesota National Guard. ICE don't need the cooperation of local law enforcement and can't be significantly impeded by them.
