Cont: Musk buys Twitter II

You do not want to be seeing evidence of this claim. You do not want to be soliciting evidence for this claim. Evidence for this claim would be highly illegal to be in possession of.

I’m not asking for that kind of evidence. But surely there would be reporting on this phenomenon like we’ve seen with Twitter. That’s the evidence I want to see.

Yeah please anyone in a country with laws against CSAM don't try to see if you can find such material. If your country is like mine - the UK - it's a "strict liability" law, your intent in finding such material is no defence.

Ah right.

Prior to X producing and distributing CSAM on the WWW most CSAM was found on the dark net and private spaces so none of that would ever show up in the likes of a Google search.

I agree. And I've been disgusted with the regulators throughout the so-called developed countries. As soon as this came to light X should have been banned until they fixed the problem and the board prosecuted since as shown by Musk's attitude and comments they initially were not going to do anything about it once they knew about it.

If they still insist on only removing "spicy mode" in areas where it is not banned, then they are still not doing anything about it.

In case it is not obvious from the link, it is to Google's own statement about CSAM, not a search for CSAM(!). They acknowledge that it does happen occasionally and they outline the steps they take to detect it and report it.

Please quote the part that says a Google search could show a user pictures of real children being really abused if they are not careful. I’m not seeing anything that says that.

MAGA Is Discovering the Downsides of X (Politico, 18 January 2026)

When Elon Musk bought Twitter in 2022 promising to end “woke” censorship and transform the platform into a right-leaning haven of free speech, conservatives almost universally rejoiced. The right’s expectations for the Musk-era platform were sky-high: Many predicted that it would end the liberal media’s supposed stranglehold on information. Others hailed it as an epochal moment in the history of American conservatism.

Three years later, Musk’s control of the platform, now re-branded as “X,” has delivered its fair share of benefits for conservatives — not least of which was Musk’s successful full-court press to elect Donald Trump in 2024. But as the elite echelons of the MAGA movement slowly descend into obscure online disagreements and testy turf wars between rival influencers, conservatives are starting to confront an unpleasant possibility: that the right’s domination of X is doing more to divide the MAGA movement than unite it.

Police specialising in combating cyber-crime, assisted by Europol, have raided the offices of Elon Musk's social media platform, X, in France.
The Paris prosecutor said it related to an investigation into the content recommended by X's algorithm, which had subsequently been widened to include its controversial AI chatbot, Grok.
The prosecutor's office added both Musk and former X chief executive officer Linda Yaccarino had been summoned to appear at hearings in April as part of its probe.

The French offices of Elon Musk's X have been raided by the Paris prosecutor's cyber-crime unit, as part of an investigation into suspected offences including unlawful data extraction and complicity in the possession of child pornography.

The prosecutor's office said the probe began in January 2025 when it started looking into content recommended by the social media platform's algorithm, before being widened to include its controversial AI chatbot, Grok.
