Face, meet leopard. Leopard, meet face.

It wasn't nasty until it was nasty to them. Then they either doubled down on their denial and convinced themselves "he was just joking", or it dawned on them that Trump has been a nasty mofo from the very beginning...just as his critics had said. Much more of the former, though.
He called an entire venue full of people stupid and they cheered

Donna Hughes-Brown, a 59-year old Irish woman and married to an American army veteran, has been in the US legally since she was 11 years old. She has a permanent resident green card. In July she was returning home after a visit to Ireland and was taken into custody by ICE at the airport where she remained for almost 5 months. Apparently, she was a "criminal" in need of deportation over two bounced checks totaling $80 (a misdemeanor) that were resolved over 10 years ago. She was taken to an ICE facility more than 6 hours from her home and until just before Christmas. She was finally released after her husband brought her case to he attention of several senators and testified before Congress. A judge ruled she was not a danger to the US.

Her husband, who voted for Trump, never thought they'd come for his wife.

“As far as being scared, I’m scared that this is going to continue,” she said. “It affects everybody. And nobody is safe. Nobody is safe.”

No sympathy for her, she's an even bigger MAGAt than her husband.

I have no doubt she would have voted for Trump if she were able to vote, which she isn't. But her husband regrets his voting for him as I'm sure she is:

[Hughes-Brown's] husband, James Brown, told Newsweek that he "100 percent" regrets his vote for Trump.

"You look at the news, and they're not telling the truth about what's actually happening to a lot of legal immigrants," Brown told Newsweek. "What's bad is that Trump is so demeaning to people, and he's so condescending and so retaliatory that people are afraid to say anything."

"Trump advertised that he was getting criminal illegal immigrants and deporting them, which I don't disagree with. But that's not what he's doing," Brown said."

"There are hundreds, maybe thousands, who are being arrested who are legal immigrants in this country. And the entire foundation of America was founded on immigration. So now we're saying that nobody who's not native born should be allowed in this country," he said."
