Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

In some ways it is just a flex. They can give ludicrous and incoherent answers to questions and declare that anyone opposing them is unpatriotic and evil. It’s about wielding power without any principles.
True enough, of course, but this seems like a further, morbid stage of the syndrome, where the lies and misdirections don't even pretend to make sense. They're like a bratty schoolkid who answers a question with "becauuuuse!"

If it's true the FBI on behalf of the DOJ is not in fact investigating Good's killing, and the MInneapolis police were already shut out of the investigation, then who right now has custody of the evidence and what do they intend doing with it?

This administration? They'll probably install the car as an exhibit in the National Museum of Crime and Punishment, in the spot once occupied by Ted Bundy's Volkswagen.

Probably in a dumpster.

The FBI decided to open a criminal investigation into the mayor of Minneapolis, the governor of Minnesota and the dead woman’s wife but not the man that shot her.

Saw this today. I'm sure there will be MANY stories like this coming out.

U.S. Army Reserve Black Hawk pilot Chris Busby, 28, and Stephanie Kenny-Velasquez, 25, went to an Austin courthouse to get their marriage certificate on Dec. 3. Roughly 48 hours later, Velasquez entered a Houston Immigration and Customs Enforcement office for a routine check-in and never emerged, Busby said. The uncertainty has left the newlywed questioning whether his time serving the country was worth it, he said. NBC News article link

Stephanie Velasquez arrived in the US from Venezuela in 2021 asking for asylum. She does not have a criminal record but her case is still pending. When contacted by NBC News, the Department of Homeland Security did not respond and the Department of Justice declined to comment.

Venezuela was liberated! Didn’t you know?!
Trump went in personally to take out Maduro. He had the spirit of Charlie Kirk guiding him, which is a miracle. The Pope had better hurry up and make him a Saint or he’ll be on the receiving end of 200% tariffs next week!

The Pentagon has ordered about 1,500 active-duty soldiers in Alaska to prepare for a possible deployment to Minnesota, the site of large protests against the government’s deportation drive, two US officials told Reuters on Sunday.

Congress can investigate it. The evidence is, it's true, partly in camera angles and he was upright, clear of the car when he fired 3 timer point blank from the *side* though the angle's not perfect; a bullet hole was in the front window. Maybe an exist shot? The lack of rendering aid is clear. I don't really know what the House cando but make subpoena documents and recommendations but I suspect testimony would make for good TV. Could DOJ just blow this off? Yes, probably. But I'm not sure they might not be getting a little pushback from Republicans in competitive districts.

The DOJ interviewee who said they were not investigating the shooting made a point of saying DOJ did not routinely investigate the over 1000 shootings a year where "law enforcement" were put in danger and had to defend themselves. He clearly means police. A police shooting would not usually be a federal concern. This wasn't a police shooting, this was a federal officer who killed someone. For the DOJ to shrug off a killing by an on-duty federal agent as not worth investigating sounds like a massive dereliction of duty to me. Someone, maybe more than one, in that chain of command needs to be fired and replaced by someone who will do their job.

Because that is the most convenient place to bring troops from to send them to Minnesota? Particularly those troops you need to invade Greenland? Perhaps once they are combat ready and the loaded on the transports, we may find the transports fly east rather than south.

You forget, they gave full immunity.
