Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

1) He put himself in front of the car, against agency rules
2) She wasn't aiming the car at him, quite the opposite.
3) Even if she had aimed her car at him he was never in any real danger from a car starting from a few feet away.
4) His use of lethal force in response to the above is beyond "controversial". Its flipping psychotic.

I don't see comments by certain posters anymore, but the individual you're addressing knows better. He's claimed to have years of military service. If he's been in the military, and someone in the military did what this officer did there would be consequences.

He's not arguing in good faith so anything you say will be met with nothing more than a reply designed to "trigger" people in this thread and on this forum. That's all it will be and nothing more. Same with the other conservatives on this forum that do the exact same thing.

I agree, but what exactly can be done? The party of minimal governmental intervention has the white house, congress, the senate and, possibly most importantly, the supreme court - what action or actions can any party take? What's the course from here? What, in short, are the checks and balances that can be engaged here?
The democrats had better get busy and learn how to use all social media outlets and blitz them before mid-terms regarding the economy, the crazy talk about Greenland, the extra-judicial executions of an U.S. citizen, the threats and insane rhetoric of this corrupt administration. At minumum.

Mike Johnson on Renee Good: "This woman was taunting ICE officers. She was impeding law enforcement. She was violating a number of laws. They were very patient ... what I saw was she hit the accelerator and hit the ICE officer and he reacted in a split second."

Taunting? Oh dear, the poor boys! Who knows what they were forced to hear; your mothers were hamsters, your fathers smelled of elderberries? I wouldn't put it past those antifa car driving wine mums! How could anyone blame the poor ICE boys for losing their patience and shooting a few people?

One of ours. All of yours. No, not nazis, of course not. This is horrifying.

But we have been assured numerous times, that the ICI truck was stuck in the snow and the agents were trying to free it when they were attacked.
And now we're being told to question the testimony of our own eyes.

The truck was very clearly not stuck in the snow, but rather in motion on dry pavement. The victim stopped her car to let the truck pass, since it was traveling in the lane she was apparently attempting to enter, and probably also to allow her wife to re-enter the car because she had left the vehicle in order to film the officers. Instead of passing through, the ICE truck stopped and the officers left the vehicle and surrounded the victim's car. This is prima facie (and also extremely strong circumstantial) evidence that ICE was in no way being threatened or impeded in their operations. If you have to drive your truck to where the observer is, you're not impeded. The officer's apparent intent (supplemented by testimony of others) was to "document" the victim's vehicle. "Documenting" peaceful protesters nearby is not part of ICE's enforcement mission, which is likely part of why the Trump regime is doing all it can to prevent its claims from being tested in court.

I do not recall ever seeing them claim to have been in the military.

·FEAR NOT, GREAT PEOPLE OF MINNESOTA, THE DAY OF RECKONING & RETRIBUTION IS COMING!
Not only is this a direct threat of state violence against Pres. Trump's political enemies, it's a clear signal to ICE: "Do whatever you want—we'll lie for you and run cover at the highest levels of government to keep you from accountability."

It's ominous, isn't it? How much more despicable could ice get? A lot more, I'm thinking.

Not a whole lot that will help the situation right this minute, but I don't think it's too much to ask for at least Susan Collins level of concern. Say something drastic enough to draw news attention. Be a little accelerationist, a little confrontational.

For example, they might call on Americans to nonviolently resist ICE. Report them. Record them. Refuse to serve them. Everywhere. The message could be to stay safe but realize these people are not operating within the rule of law.

That's already the message, to anyone who is paying attention, but SAY IT. Quietly whining about prompt investigations that will never happen is how we got here in the first place.

You claim to have seen that because you're a wretched, scyphozoan poltroon with the self-respect of Moe Szyslak.

Not sure I buy that level of cleverness from them. I think they released it because they thought it would be some kind of vindication. Same as what happened with the Arbery video where they thought releasing it to the public would show the world their innocence.
I don't think they believe it is clever, I think they actually believe that showing the world that they killed a snippy, liberal, woman shows that they did the right thing.

and you would think too, by the way, these right wing conservative types would have more of a problem with the government lying about this woman and what happened. i don't know why the small government individual freedom guys don't have a problem with federal agents dressed and armed like they're taking down baghdad shoving and shooting soccer moms in front of their kids, and then lying and saying they're domestic terrorists and these feds have immunity. is it because the left is being too mean to you guys again? i don't get it.
Conservatives have always wanted small government, as in a government of a few rulers who can do what they want with little to no rules. No checks or balances. No dissention.

Bovino celebrating an obviously unlawful killing, thereby bringing Border Patrol into disrepute. Great.

There's a point at which a kneejerk reaction of standing by your man no matter what is the wrong move, and that point is waaaay back there somewhere, several days back up the road. This is a guy who obviously ◊◊◊◊◊◊ up, and a guy who Bovino cannot credibly now be unaware is a serial ◊◊◊◊-up, and his continued bull-headed defence of the plainly indefensible makes Bovino look not only like an idiot but an evil, uncaring idiot at that.

Taxpayers, you pay for this guy to be this big of a jerk. Turning your dollars into totalitarianism.
The message is clear. Dissenters and protesters should be shot, incarcerated, killed, prosecuted. If you don't do what ICE says, you die. ICE agents are threatening people using the Renee Good murder as a lesson to be learned. "Haven't you liberals learned from Renee, comply or die."

The Regime is labeling people as agitators. This means people traveling are being shaken down in an attempt to find any reason to detain. I know this because a lady I know just came back from overseas. She was detained at customs while they searched her belongings and tried to get her to unlock her phone for them. A sympathetic customs agent quietly told her that she was flagged as an agitator, which is why she had the extra attention. Thankfully, they could not find any reason to arrest her, so they let her go. How long until they decide to start planting evidence to arrest people?
This must be what it felt like in the early days of Hitler's Germany. It won't be long until they start filling trains.
