Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

The best way to appeal to suburban women for future votes is to insult them and speak condescendingly by calling them "wine moms". That should go over well.

How long before Trump pardons them? I've skipped the last, about, 10 pages. I don't check the forums on the weekend much and it's a pretty quick moving thread.
We've been informed in another thread that when Republicans insult voters, it doesn't hurt their electionability. It's only a mistake if Democrats insult voters, any voters, no matter what those voters do or say.

Why not go after the employers?

JD Vance
@JDVance
Just spoke with a guy who owns a small business. Complaining about the fact that that he pays his employees $18-20hr (minimum) but the people who hire illegal aliens pay them $6.50 an hour and hurt his business.

Many of the people threatening law enforcement and interfering with deportations are just mad that this system is coming to an end
I could tell you where to start but your corrupt administration's biggest ($$$$) supporters wouldn't like it.

They don't need future votes, I'm afraid.

I haven't reached that level of despair yet. I think that's what they want, but I don't think the courts are going to move fast enough to let them ◊◊◊◊ up the midterms yet. If the Dems can have a solid run at the Senate in the midterms it will make me feel a lot better.

I've heard sentiment that attacking women is part of the reich wing strategy. They released the video of the ICE thug who shot Renee Good because it shows Renee being condescending to the ICE guy, that she's a lesbian, and that she deserved to get shot because she's a ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ bitch. They don't say this out loud, but instead say that the video proves she was a deadly threat. The only threat she was was to the notion that women should not have rights, that women should shut up and let the men do what they want to do.

Not sure I buy that level of cleverness from them. I think they released it because they thought it would be some kind of vindication. Same as what happened with the Arbery video where they thought releasing it to the public would show the world their innocence.

ICE agents were caught on video illegally detaining a U.S. citizen in Richfield, Minnesota.

In the video, ICE agents surround a man who is already on his knees on the pavement, with his hands raised, while agents stand over him and verify his citizenship.

This alone is a serious constitutional violation.

ICE does not have authority to detain U.S. citizens to check their immigration status.

They also do not need someone on their knees to “verify” citizenship.

And forcing someone into a compliance position on the ground without probable cause constitutes an unlawful detention under the Fourth Amendment.

After agents confirm he is a U.S. citizen, the man stands up and begins yelling… visibly angry and shaken.

The man is yelling at agents for swarming his car at gun point, a U.S. citizen, and forcing him out. Saying, “I could’ve died.”

ICE agents then try to claim it was because of his registration. A line they often use, that still doesn’t justify their actions.

What this video shows is federal agents detaining first, forcing compliance, then checking legality afterward… the opposite of how policing in a constitutional system is supposed to work.

If ICE can force a U.S. citizen to the ground over a car they happen to be driving, citizenship no longer protects you.

This isn’t a minor mistake. It’s a clear abuse of power and a violation of the Fourth Amendment, and every American should be outraged

I generally hew to the principle that once you start operating a motor vehicle aggressively around law enforcement, you need to be shot. Or otherwise shut down with extreme prejudice. Same as when you start waving around a gun or any other deadly weapon.

It's not like she was driving "past" government agents by accident, or out of mental confusion*.

"No reason"
No, sorry, you're right. It wasn't for no reason.

The reason was to intimidate and demonstrate ultimate power over the citizenry. The reason was to threaten the people of the state of Minnesota with violence and death if they fail to comply with the junta's orders.

The reason was to provoke anger and goad citizens into retaliatory violence, which would justify and validate the administration's narrative about "violent antifa domestic terrorists" and give them an excuse to send the jackbooted thugs to more places to shoot more innocent people in the face. Eventually they hope to provoke sufficient outrage and horror that they are "forced" to declare martial law and take direct control over the states that they don't already directly control.

Renee Good was not shot in the face for no reason. Thank you for correcting me.

Well that is extremely dumb because when you do so you create a potentially much greater hazard by making an unmanned power vehicle.

Also, you are wrong about "aggresively". No one was in any serious danger.

You realize there are rules in place with the DHS and most police departments to not shoot into operating vehicles unless they are threatening lives with something besides the vehicle.

This is why you are accused of victim blaming.

The reason was someone operating a motor vehicle aggressively around law enforcement. That's an automatic needs shooting, as far as I'm concerned. Peaceful operation, the aggressor would have parked blocks away, and proceeded to her peaceful protest on foot.

Nobody uses a motor vehicle to disrupt an armed police operation unless they mean violence. Or they're an idiot behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. Either way.

Wow. Just wow. Just plain psychotic.

Peaceful operation, the aggressor would have parked blocks away, and proceeded to her peaceful protest on foot.

Incorrect. Plain and simple.
