Mass shooting at Bondi Beach

It's a rhetorical 'perhaps'. Obviously it has, and denying it is silly. Perhaps even worse than silly. Denying the existence of Islamophobia makes the victims more likely to lash out. On the other side Zionists never let us forget that any criticism of Israel is tantamount to calling for another Holocaust (never mind that many Jews both outside and inside Israel are also criticizing the Israeli government), which only makes it worse.

The sad part is that all the bloodshed could have been avoided if only Jews hadn't made it their mission to recreate the state of Israel, with no thought as to how it would affect the existing occupants. They weren't afraid to murder people to make that happen either. Now they get upset when the inevitable backlash occurs. Antisemitism is on the rise globally because the Zionists provoked it.
Of all the victim blaming posts in this thread, this is by far the worst.

You can't talk about the Bondi attacks without talking about Islamist terrorism.
Correct. People are talking about the two culprits as if they are simply not fond of Jews rather than radicalised Islamic terrorists. And, to repeat, there is no evidence at all that they were motivated by Gaza. These guys are likely connected to IS, which hates Hamas and Palestinians in general.

.. a point which will be completely lost on those who do not understand the geopolitical situation in the Middle East - and that is most of the people participating in this thread, and other threads here on the topic. They simply regurgitate the mindless claptrap they hear in their far left or far right echo-chambers.

This is not the humor forum, but thanks for the morning laugh!

I had an aunt like that, she would also preface her opinions with "tous des imbéciles, sauf moi!" 🙄

I did not say that "everyone is an imbecile", I said most of the people participating in this thread, and other threads here on the topic do not understand the geopolitical situation in the region. @lionking clearly does, as do @theprestige and @Ziggurat

I wonder how many of the forum members have been in the armed forces and have actually served in the Middle East in the last 40 years. I'm one, but I'll bet there are very few others. We used to get continual political briefings from people in the UK Foreign Office on the region, to help us to understand its ever-changing geopolitics.

Are you seriously saying that IS does not hate Hamas?
A lot of people just lump all Islamic terror organizations together not understanding the distrust and hatred between different groups, Hamas and IS is one example - these two have fought battles and killed each other over their differing ideologies. IS and Hezbollah are also enemies, mainly because of their sectarian divide and opposing ideologies and alliances (its somewhat analogous to Protestants and Catholics in Northern Ireland during The Troubles. They might all be Christians, but they still killed and bombed each other over the minutiae of scripture.)

These two murderers in Bondi were connected with IS - that is now known for sure. Philosophically, they wouldn't give a fat rat's arse about Gaza, therefore, it is unlikely in the extreme that anything that happened in Gaza would have influenced them to do what they did. The only things they share in common are their blind and bigoted hatred of Jews, their stated view that Judaism is a stain on humanity and an insult to Islam, and their stated aim to exterminate every last Jew on the planet.

For those few still wondering how seriously to take Smartcooky's claims of deep understanding of complex geo political issues, the highlighted part should help them decide.
