Trump's Second Term

You know that's the closest he's ever been to cutting a lawn himself and that anything he doesn't personally know how to do, because someone else has always done it for him is unbelievably difficult. Which gives a horrible aspect to his comments about how difficult flushing toilets is, and I may have to adjust my list of worse jobs in the world.
I'm surprised there isn't a Secretary of the Stool.

Rep. Scott Fitzgerald
@RepFitzgerald
Wisconsin farmers have fed America and the world for generations. President Trump is making sure they get the support they deserve, funded by tariff revenue, not taxpayers. Thank you, @POTUS
.

Insurance companies are owned by the Democrats.

Reporter: 22 million Americans are expected to see their health care insurance premiums rise

Trump: Because Obamacare is so bad.

Reporter: Will you let that happen?

Trump: I want the money to be paid to the people to go out and buy their own health care. The insurance companies are owned by the
Democrats.

Health insurance is when people who need treatment get it subsidized by the rest of us who don't. That's literally what it is.

Healthcare based more on "are you rich?" and less on "are you ill?" is always going to deliver worse outcomes on average.
Communism! What fairer way is there to determine who gets healthcare than by how rich they are? It should be left to personal responsibility, so if someone wants to get healthcare all they need to do is be rich.

Another goof

Congressman John Rose
@RepJohnRose
@POTUS and @SecRollins are taking tariff money from overseas and investing $12 BILLION back into U.S. agriculture.

That’s what it looks like when you put America’s farmers FIRST

The 'pull yourself up by your bootstraps' crowd must be pretty frustrated now that people can work 100% and still can't afford medical care, while they rely on the SNAP program to put food on the table. Oh, and did I mention the working Americans who live in their cars because they can't afford housing?

It seems they're coping by moving the goal posts. Oh, you work 100% and still live in your car, go to bread lines for food, and have to put off neccessary medical treatment? Oh, uhm, oh, I know, your fault for not getting a better job! See, had you only worked harder you would've been in a better place today! Should've put in more work in school, worked harder at landing that dream job, or been born into a richer family!

Or just the universal catch-all, 'if you don't like it here, MOVE!'

Apologies if this has already been posted.

President Donald Trump branded one foe who did so “deceitful and potentially criminal.” He called another “CROOKED” on Truth Social and pushed the attorney general to take action.

But years earlier, Trump did the very thing he’s accusing his enemies of, records show.

In 1993, Trump signed a mortgage for a “Bermuda style” home in Palm Beach, Florida, pledging that it would be his principal residence. Just seven weeks later, he got another mortgage for a seven-bedroom, marble-floored neighboring property, attesting that it too would be his principal residence.

In reality, Trump, then a New Yorker, does not appear to have ever lived in either home, let alone used them as a principal residence. Instead, the two houses, which are next to his historic Mar-a-Lago estate, were used as investment properties and rented out, according to contemporaneous news accounts and an interview with his longtime real estate agent — exactly the sort of scenario his administration has pointed to as evidence of fraud.

Secretary Brooke Rollins
@SecRollins
Today at the White House, we sat down with REAL farmers — not lobbyists — to talk about the mess we inherited AND the bright future we are building.

They told the story we all know too well: the Biden economy crushed American agriculture. Sky high input costs, brutal interest rates, the smallest cattle herd in 75 years.

But under @POTUS, the turnaround is NOW. Prices are coming down, confidence is rising, and we are rebuilding American agriculture into a more affordable future for every family.

That's Rollins' way of explaining why they're giving the farmers a cash handout; because Trump killed their export market with his dumb trade war, and he hasn't managed to claw it back again.

I wondered if any of those farmers told Rollins whether they plan to throw a load of money into planting their usual soybean crop next year.
